Nice job guys, I do this in Delaware and Maryland here on the Eastern Shore. My wife’s family goes back to the 1600’s here and I go out and find out where her ancestors are and try to clean the stones up it’s pretty fun and rewarding.

Hello, fellow Eastern Shore-er!! I’ve cleaned about 30 headstones, usually while attending cemetery preservation workshops. My family is mostly from Somerset County; I’ve only gotten back to around the early 1800’s with my family here on the shore.

@@crusmonster1397, here family has lived in Somerset county while coming up here though the years. It is fun to do. See how they moved from the Eastern Shore of Va. to here. Her Long name came from the northern part of Delmarva. Some of these cemeteries over here are so deep in woods hard to find them. But fun.

Appreciate the info. on D-2. I ordered a quart-sized bottle and it really isn't cheap. Robert was right about that. However ,seeing the results of this stuff I figured is a small price to pay to get my wife's dad headstone cleaned up. You guys really need to contact D-2 for a sponsorship, they probably aren’t even scouting for this sort of marketing since it’s kind of a niche product so you may have to contact them first for sure. Just scrolling through the comments there are a lot of people asking where to buy it and some already have despite its high price tag. Also now maybe a lot more stones will be getting cleaned since people have the knowledge to do safely. Very cool guys. I grew up in SW VA and actually lived in an early 1900s small apt building that literally hadn’t been touched other than the bare min to keep things working and upright lol. (The repair guys had to scavenge for radiator parts cuz they aren’t made anymore lol). But it was literally right across the street from an equally as old cemetery which was beautiful to take walks in. All that’s to say is VA has some really neat stuff in the rural parts, I’ve been to many abandoned structure in the woods there lol. If y’all ever decide to head a little north for some reason. I’m in Florida now and I do miss “real” woods and exploring lol. Although some of the woods down here have a nice majestic feeling. It isn’t the same though.

I have a suggestion for you gents, you need a easier way to haul your supplies and more especially in the grounds that are better kept, I have found a wagon works well, there are folding camping supply haulers that work well too. Have hauled plenty on them doing re-enactment events.

This is how I first saw you guys doing the cemeteries cleaning them and what you doing now and I said you guys are so awesome as they said so many times before You do not let the past die you keep history going and you let these people live and name You haven't forgotten them by letting them stay in cemetery better horrible falling apart it can't even find the grave sometimes me being a born again Christian I realize it doesn't really matter to those that have gone on they're gone and if they have no family there's no one to care except it's the fact that they're not in a dilapidated cemetery that is actually beautiful when you guys get through and the cleaning of the two stones is amazing bad company should give you free everything with the free publicity you give them cuz that stuff is incredible how it cleans them. You guys a true preservationist . In your hearts are so huge. people should understand You can't where the history die or like now they're trying to change history wipe it out so it fits the way the liberals want it to be not the truth cuz they don't like it doesn't matter history is good or bad it's history and you don't bury it excuse the pun you know get rid of it you keep it there for people to always know it and see it. ✝️♾️🛐❤️LOL

I’ve been using D2 for a number of years, in Missouri, Kansas, & now in my retirement area in Florida. Although I’ve used it full strength, occasionally I use it in a 50/50 mixture with water. If you are looking for instant gratification, then by all means use D2 full strength, but since cemeteries aren’t going anywhere, just consider half strength, to expand your D2 Biological Solution to other monuments in a cemetery.

I just saw a tip for reading old tombstones. Rub shaving cream all over the words on the stone and you can read every word. It is amazing how it works. They washed the shaving cream off with water in a spray bottle. Please try it on some of those old ones that you can't read. I hope this helps you as you discover more cemetaries.
