Cleaning A Carburetor Fuel Inlet Seat To Stop Leakage! DO NOT USE A DRILL BIT!

A leaking fuel inlet seat can show up as a puddle of gas under your saw sitting on the floor, flooding out after running it for a while and setting it down, a persistent leak when pressure testing a carb...The seat can get a buildup of crud that prevents the needle from sealing properly.

I've been doing this for years, glad to see you make a video on it. As another tip, you can also "lap" the needle by slipping a piece of fuel line on the end. I've only done this as a last resort when even when a brand new needle wont seal. Never use anything more abrasive than the aluminum polish.

hard felt pointed tips and Cratex rubber tips can be usefull too. There are people that discount this physical cleaning, they have apparently not done very many carbs because sooner or later you will find one that spraying carb cleaner alone, will not take off caked up foreign material.

Neat method. I use fine wire to clean out smaller holes and a carb cleaning brush in lots of sizes. Yah no need for a drill bit

Jesus... Some ppl just LOVE to make their life way harder...!😂 Just use some carb cleaner and use air, if you have a compressor! Jobs done...!
