ovrdsd I can really appreciate when someone makes the choice to open their minds more and look at things from a new perspective. It truly takes a certain level of maturity to do that and I want to advise you to embrace this choice and let you know that you can gain much wisdom from just listening and taking things in. In a way it is relieving to sit back and allow others to have their voice sometimes and just hearing them speak. It can be somewhat refreshing and enlightening. It's something that a lot of people have a hard time doing these days.

Body odor comes from what you eat. Detox by eating raw fruits and vegetables for awhile and you'll notice a significant difference in a very good way. Good for mind, body, and soul.

Please differentiate between vaginas and vulvas. Young girls and some adult women tend to think of the vagina as the entire vaginal area. The vulva can most certainly be washed with soap, but the vagina and vaginal opening should not. You never implicitly stated this point, and I think that is very important to note in a video about vaginal hygiene.

@desertrat5543

Christina Bowman but if the reason why you have a yeast infection is because of a unbalanced pH level, apple cider vinegar in modest amounts is appropriate. It kills candida. Unlike antibiotics (kills all healthy and unhealthy bacteria), it will only kill candida. Most Americans have a diet lacking in fermented foods or some sort of probiotic supplement. The healthy bacteria provides good gut health. Water and cranberry juice doesn't prevent or solve UTIs or yeast infections. Sure, it relieves the pain, but that doesn't resolve why you even got the infection in the first place.

Douching is not bad if you are using natural ingredients, such as apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil, etc. It is over the counter douching solutions that are bad.

You know this really make sense. Just a few months ago, I started having that bad odor on my vagina and I realized its about the same time I started using feminine wash. Since birth I have never been fond of using those (and I never experience having an odor on my vagina), but I saw this advertistment saying it help to "whiten" my dark areas. So I bought and used it and voila, my vagina started to produce that nasty stink. Now, thanks to you, I wont ever use it again ever starting to day.

Jaimie Heart it's so stupid I agree. I can't believe women do it. Would you wash our your eye with soap? No bc it cleans itself just like your vagina. That's what discharge is for, it's constantly cleaning itself. You are not smarter than your vagina, it knows what it is doing. If there's a funny smell or something go to your doctor there's something wrong that douching won't fix

I started soaking my tampons in coconut oil for about 10-15 minutes and I'd wear the tampon for about 2 hours for 7 days straight and it brought my ph level back to where it's supposed to be and also it brought back my natural smell which I've never smelled of at least noticed and I'm extremely comfortable with it because it doesn't have a smell which i like. I drink water a lot now, try to eat fruits, and healthier in general. Also! I have noticed that condoms brings the smell back. I still to this day think I'm allergic lol. But anywho GREAT video. Very informative and you kept me wanting to watch. Subbing as we speak, God bless 😊❤️

It depends if it's bacterial or fungal! Thrush is fungal and can be caused by all sorts of things from the Birth Control pill, hormones re-adjusting after pregnancy, wearing synthetic underwear. You need to find the cause as well as treating the symptoms if it keeps coming back. Ask the doctor if it's bacterial or fungal and what could be causing it.

I had a boyfriend that wasn't circumcized and everytime we had relations, it left me with a fishy, foul smell. I found out he was cheating on me with other women. I left him and haven't had the odor issues. I like to soak, using 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar in my tub water, during and after my menstrual cycle. I douche with warm water and 3 Tblsp of peroxide after my menstrual cycle is over. I douched with "Summer's Eve" and another time, I inserted "Norforms" and both of these gave me a HORRIBLE yest infection. I haven't had a yeast infection since I started soaking in apple cider vinegar, and douching with warm water and peroxide.

An uncircumcised man has to pull the extra loose skin back to clean that covered area properly, if not, then the outside area is only getting washed, while the excess skin is covering the underneath area. I think it left me an odor because he was having unprotected sex with other women that didn't have proper hygiene, and he wasn't washing the sex completely off. I was younger and inexperienced with life, so I was naive and I couldn't understand why I had great hygiene but a fishy smell after intimacy.

This is good info! Dove soap (unscented or for sensitive skin) is great to bath everywhere. My vagina lining has been plentiful (the thick white stuff) since youth, so the doctor didn't know what it was, but when I told my mom (thank God) she said "just use medicated douche once every three months and it'll help slow it down." Guess what? She's absolutely right. Panti-liners (usage) on a regular basis and drink three cap full of organic Apple Cider Vinegar (w/bottle water and a little honey) and it will do your body good. No artificial scents (down there) and no underwear at night. Wishing all the ladies on here to have happy, healthy vaginas. 😂🔑

I've personally always been against soaps, dyes, perfumes, etc near my vagina. I started getting yeast infections as a little girl. I switched to IVORY soap (which is 99% pure) and my infections got better. I have never used body wash or any other soap on my skin for that matter let alone my vagina. Douching has always been out of the picture for me. I know my vagina is a self cleaning organ & douching is awful. However, I've recently started getting yeast infections & BV. I ordered from Amazon the "clean point herbal tampons" & let me just say they're amazing! I just finished my third cycle. They are not a "tampon" which I'm against even using during my menstral cycle. I only use bamboo cloth pads. It's a tiny pearl of herbs not big enough to block anything natural from releasing your body. My menstral cycles have been much better without so much cramping & I haven't gotten an infection since. I highly recommend these coming from someone who is very cautious with her vagina.

Yoni steaming is excellent. They help with fibroids, cysts and if your susceptible to infections. Best done after your period. It's an ancient, ancestral and spiritual process. It's deeper than you think. Don't knock it, until you try it. Reading from a book will only help you understand to a certain extent. Common sense not to let the steam burn you. Let some of the steam blow off a little, then drape a towel over you and squat over it.

German midwives recommend Sitzbäder (sitzbaths) when you get home from the hospital after giving birth. It's just a warm (bath water temperature) chamomile tea that you sit on to soothe the area. You can also do this leading up to birthday. I just preferred adding chamomile blossoms to my bath water. I also clean my son with cooled chamomile tea when he has a bit of a diaper rash. That or just pain water with a washcloth is the only thing I'm doing to my vagina and vulva.

Hi. Great video. Sometimes if I feel itchy or stinging I sprinkle a few drops of tea tree oil on my pubic hair. The oil dribbles down and voila I'm fixed in a few days. If I had a bath in my house I would put a few drops of tea tree oil. It is one of the oils you can put straight on a open wound but it is strong...... So a touch if I feel a infection/stinging. Always rectifies itself in 2days at the most. I never apply direct or rub it in. I am 50 yrs old and a complete tree hugger. Natural natural is the way to go. You video is excellent. Thank you. Generally I do nothing. The odd smell for chaps is to do with what we eat. It's simple logic to choose food with mild scent for your partner to enjoyed giving you pleasure. Ciao!

Great video. I strongly believe that it's important to spread awareness about vaginal hygiene. I also believe that there are only so many of unnecessary beauty products for women* out there because women* are being told that they are unattractive, imperfect etc. from a very early age on. They are told they should behave and look like this, and if only they used x or y product they will be SO much more attractive ... Not saying that people should not use any beauty products at all - by all means, do whatever empowers you! - but one should always question the dynamics behind it. Start by asking yourself "Do I really need this to make me feel good?" "Who am I doing this for?" and continue from there.

In between the herbal tampons I put all natural organic Greek yogurt inside my vagina to give it natural flora. I would only recommend doing a full cycle every 6 months to a year. The medications prescribed by doctors just cause infections to come back. My husband had a yeast infection I put one of the pearls in water with a small amount of coconut oil & made him use it as a spray he hasn't gotten an infection since. Antibiotics cause candida to rise in the body & I think natural remedies are better than being prescribed chemicals. I love everything else you said but people that naturally suffer from infections I think can be treated with something natural & is better for your vagina!

YEEESSS. THANK YOU!!! One of the few times I had a UTI, I was desperate for relief and out of options (it was about 2am). I took a tampon, soaked it in a mixure of ACV and water, and wore it for a couple hours. As for the itching and burning, it was gone within seconds. When it came back a few hours later, I wore a few more tampons like that. The next day or so the infection was gone. Then I just let it breathe. Hooray! Maybe that will help someone in need. 😅

This works with natural yogurt too due to the millions of probiotics in it, they help to balance back out the right bacteria and ph! If you get a rubber glove and pour some yogurt in the finger holes and freeze it (to make yogurt tampons almost if you like)! Pop out a finger when it's solid and insert it (with a pad for when the yogurt melts) and it soothes you a treat while waiting for the medication to kick in x

This is the best video on your channel. Your vagina is self cleaning. Would you wash your eye out with soap just randomly? No? Bc it's self cleaning. The best way I've found to clean the vulva and skin around the vagina is just water and a cloth. It cleans more effectively than just fingers and water and provides some very gentle exfoliation. I personally also use a very natural body wash with tea tree on the are with hair follicles bc I have a skin disease that leaves me prone to infections and lesions but I would never use it inside my actual vagina. Leave it alone!

eat & drink alkaline healthily. for example, Apple cider vinegar in the bathtub water will help better the vagina in cleansing. A cap of Apple cider vinegar or a teaspoon is healthy with a glass of warm water.

Ladies to stomp the heck out of odor is to watch what u eat do a natural cleansing by drinking aloe vera it cleans the womb rejuvenates the ovaries and repair any tears deep in the womb also it removes thick yeast causing irritation drink lots of water to flush impurities out. Also lemon and water also cuts odor out. If you can get the aloe plant cut a piece and let draw in a glass or pitcher of water till thick. have a glass or half glass at night when stomach is empty .instantly you will notice a difference .Soaking in the tub with Epsom salt draws impurities You will notice a more cleaner you once gone keep drinking water daily and stay away from sugar salt greasy foods and red meats starch try lots of vegetables and fruit eat more healthier. We are what we eat spicy foods encourage dryness and impurities which cause odor build up .Its nothing better than having a naturally moist fresh smelling odorless vagina.

I was graduated from med school in 1980. Back then, in the ancient times, we were taught that the vagina was just like a self cleaning oven (no pun intended) and that it was NEVER necessary to do anything to "clean" it. We were instructed to discourage crazy efforts to do anything to the vagina/perineum beyond keeping the perineum clean through regular bathing and the occasional baking soda or vinegar douche, to be done at the woman's own discretion, for example after menses, to make her feel more comfortable that all of the endometrial fragments were gone. I'm told that ACOG still takes that position. Perhaps women should listen to their Ob/Gyn or NP instead of Madison Avenue or celebrity nitwits.

if anyone is uncomfortable about the smell down there, I'd recommend taking some good probiotics. I get mine from Sprouts which are specifically geared towards replenishing the good bacteria in your vagina and I've noticed after a few days there is no more odor. While I agree vaginas aren't meant to smell like a chemical garden, they aren't supposed to necessarily stink either. If you have enough good bacteria down there, they will do the job of maintaining your vaginal environment which leads to less odor. Think back to if you've ever been on antibiotics and noticed you get a yeast infection shortly after. This is because your good bacteria have been killed and that environment has gone haywire. I cannot stress how important it is so make sure you are getting those good bacteria into your system, especially if you've got to be on antibiotics.

+Miss Mo Berry I have used a few different ones and had good results with each. The one for vaginal health made by the brand Raw Probiotics is probably my favorite, though it can get pricey. A cheaper one I have also had good results with is Fem Dophilus. Both can be found in the little refrigerated section. I hope this helps!

The most truthful video on vaginas I've come across. A woman can be made to feel not hygienic enough if she chooses not to douche, or do those other stuff, so good for u for doing this! Years ago a nurse told me that the vagina cleans itself and I never forgot that! You're so right in everything you've said. Very informative! Very well done in bringing it across, u made it interesting and fun to listen to. Thank u!

I think it depends on the woman and their situation. If you are a healthy female and you have regular cycles there is no reason why you should do this. But I think some women use these pearls as a last result to what doctors cant fix. In my culture these detoxes are very common. My family is from Haiti, and it has been used for centuries to help women with vaginal issues. In my case I have not tried it yet, but I am looking in to it. I have had many issues such as, irregular menstruation and cysts and I feel like I have tried everything. I don't think it would hurt to try this.

+WaterfaLLove13 Just to add. I think as Americans we could be a little closed minded to other ways of life. I am really grateful that we have doctors and access to health care, but they don't have all the answers and they are not always right. Other cultures do things differently , it doesn't mean there doing it wrong it just means that they doing it differently. All in all , every woman has to be an advocate for there own body. In the end you no what is right for you.

I love this channel!! You are so sweet and genuine and super informative. I'm curious- do you listen to the Fertility Friday Podcast? A lot of what you talk about is talked about there (I love the world of podcasts!!) They talk about v-steams occasionally, not to necessarily clean the vagina but to help regulate your cycles and to encourage the onset of your period (especially coming off of the pill) . I tried them and loved the experience, it was really soothing, and yes you do have to be cautious of the temperature (:

You rock - these tips are completely true, and you explain it so simply without making it weird to talk about - thanks :) My advice is also: Don't use soap at all - It causes imbalance and bacteria! Just water on the outside. Nothing on the inside... "Let it be, let it be, let it be" (Singing in true Beatles style, haha)

I actually use summers eve unscented soap, but I use a pea size with lots of water, so it's not straight up soap and I do it very gently. I don't shave & I live in Florida, so sweat and bacterial smell is a thing (similar to arm pit smell in the side creases where your vulva meets your thighs). I think it has helped me transition to fragrance free products, and right now Im moving to castille soap for my whole body : )

I agree with the majority of this video but to comment on yoni steaming, yoni steaming is an ancient practice that has been passed down for generations and has changed thousands of women's life's. Over 90% of all gynaecological problems have shown to improve symptoms through steaming. When a women experiences things like brown blood, uti's or yeast infections.. this can be caused by excess mucus or old blood being stuck on the walls of the uterus. The uterus isn't clearing it's self out properly so the yoni steam helps turn matter into liquid. Refreshing and restoring the yoni. A women's flora is already harmed when she experiences infections, this is due to a number of things like toxic tampons environmental toxins, hormones imbalance ect.. and as mentioned it has helped a lot of women!
