I like things pretty! I've not had any difficulty removing bolts with red locktite...It certainly keeps bolts where you want them. Blue locktite is for sissies LOL Have a good one, Marc!

Make things easier sometimes to just take it out instead of fighting with small spaces to work. Nice one! Cheers.

This was one of those jobs where it was a bit more work to remove the entire manifold but it makes accessing the throttle body so much easier. Thanks for stopping in, Mike!

How's she goin'? Nice job Craig! That was pretty dirty and you cleaned it up real good. The paint was a nice touch. It'll look good when back on the engine. Take care!!

It's just air that enters the engine through the throttle body on these (and many other) vehicles. Strange there was so much dirt at all! I think the turbocharger (That's upstream) may have an oil leak. The bearing in the turbocharger is lubricated by engine oil under pressure then the oil drains back into the sump. If the seal in the turbocharger is leaking, oil will show up in the intake air stream. Maybe I will have endless projects ahead, Mike. I can only hope! I need at least one vehicle torn apart to keep my channel a float. Lucky for me I have several old vehicles always needing something.

So if the turbo charger is leaking oil, might that affect the bearings? If you ever run out of projects, I think that would make a good video!! LOL Take care!!@@EverydayProjects

So why did you take it off. Was the engine working bad. ???? You for got to paint the throttle body thing. !!!! No first place for you at the antique car show. 🤭 Have a great day. 👋👋

The intake manifold was removed to access the starter and while it was out, I decided to clean the throttle body. You’re right, I didn’t paint the throttle body but it is located underneath the intake manifold once installed so it wasn’t going to be seen. I will make sure to paint everything from now on, promise 😅😂
