How do you get such amazing coloration? My tank looks so boring compared to yours

Get the NERO 5 and you will never look back. One is more than enough.

Thays way too big of pumps at way too much price for a 30 long lol. I’m actually in the process of converting over a std 30 to a 40 breeder just so I can scape it better for lighting but that said all I ran on that 30 for 2 years was two jeabo sw4 wave makers and aquaclear 70 filter converted to fuge setup. Those little nano pumps can be dialed in as low as 160ish gph up to like 1200 gph and not not much bigger then a golf ball and are directional unlike VorTechs which in a narrow tank you are going to need to keep from blowing crap everywhere while still getting proper flow. The new tank will be running the ow10’s in lie of the sw4 as the DW series is pretty flawed and the ow is the newer upgraded version. I’m running a 10g standard tank nano with one now and love it. I like them soo much I’m also replacing my pp6 and pp8’s with them on tanks 125g and smaller. On some of the larger tanks I’ll need an extra pump maybe two but for what I’ll lack in power I can make up for with placement eliminating all dead spots entirely. If I were to do a 30l then I’d get two ow10’s place one at each end towards the top just low enough to not suck air pointed at the water line. One slightly towards the front glass one slightly towards the back and run them in the alternating 30sec interval flow at as high a speed as I can wo blowing sand around but still high enough to create some ripples across the bed. Take the money you save over the mp pumps and put it towards corals or upgrading your lighting. I can run two pp8’s in a 125 with same setup and never have anything in the sand bed ever. To top it off the controllers pair so two links can talk to each other and work together saving you even more money on a smaller tank vs having to use something like an Apex to control randomized flow. In my 125 the 30sec alternating is plenty to get gyre across the 6’ tank which only takes about 20 seconds to move detritus from one end to the other then the last ten sucks it towards the pump and suspends it for the overflow to pick up. If not picked up its already in the water when the other pump kicks on and remains there flowing back and forth till it is. Haven’t had to touch a sand bed in years for any reason like this. Fresh or saltwater I use the same basic setup and pumps and it works across the board.

It is always the same.. The cleaning tips are far away from complete. If you are brave enough. Try to get the magnetic motor out of the middle part...

If you’re going to take the time to soak any moving part device in 50/50 for 24h period you may as well plug it in and let it run in that solution. You won’t even need to scrub it if you do this. I buy tons of used equipment off people all the time and I fill my wash tub in the laundry room with 50/50 solution throw everything in the tub and plug any pumps in. I let it run 24h and the pumps come out clean and everything else thrown in get cleaned from the flow of the pumps as well. I even do this with canister filters and hob filters simply gaming them off the rim of the wash tub or hanging the inputs and outputs off as if it was the rim of a tank. Maybe a little brushing in severely neglected pieces but if paid for 5 complete systems doing this and reselling the equipment once it’s clean lol. After I run everything in 50/50 I drain the tub rinse everything with a little water then refill the wash tub again with just water and let it run another 24h to rinse the pumps out. Even the clear hoses on the canister filters come out looking like new.

Works great when you can get the power supply out of the tank. In my case my wire management is really neat and perfect so taking out the power supply would be not too much fun lol. But yes if you can get it running I also notice better results.
