CLEANING METHOD PHASE 2 (MUST SEE)

Granny Smith Apples
After the cleaning in Boiling hot water water make sure you rinse and dry.
Apples must sit out at room temperature to finish the process of the cleaning method.
To achieve the bubble-free candy apples you must let them sent out for 24 to 48 hours.
After apples have set out for 48 hours remove the sap residue from each apple before dipping in candy mixture.
Apple sticks can be applied at this time.

I have did the 24 hrs too. I was just starting to train myself and using the good kids on my school bus as my guinea pigs lol. They told me I can use them as guinea pigs anytime & I do. The kids asked me to sale to them. I don't it's my way of keeping them under control on the bus. But you're right 48 hrs the apple very good, I rinse and dry them completely before dipping. WOW this is so interesting , I did some caramel apple and I clean them with the water (hot) and I did not have all the ingredients that I needed that night so I left them out on top of my table for 3 or 4 days and I put them in the trash because I tough they were bad. hahahahah this is funny! and thank you so much for the info

What should your temperature in your house be while letting these apples sit out and dry? I live in Florida so the weather is so crazy but mostly hot. Do you recommend me sitting them in the refrigerator to dry or will that prevent the sap from pushing out of the apple?

Cobee Dastineau it doesn't matter what temperature your house is when letting the apples dry . Never put them in the refrigerator to dry always leave them out so they can properly go through the process before dipping

Cynthia Dudley with the regular mix depending on the size your apples if they're medium size six to eight smaller size 8 to 10 and for bigger size apples 4 to 6 you can also double the recipe to get a larger amount but always remember if it's a bigger amount you can double the recipe and you will always have to make another mixture to make sure all your apples are covered

There is a soft stage that you can remove the Apple at 280 degrees but just to let you know removing it at this stage the candy tends to break down quicker

Hi ma'am. when u say cold water. do u put ice in your water... or cold water from sink... or cold water once it been chilled n the refrigerated

This is an old cleaning method the best way to clean your apples is to follow the first beginning of the process boil them for 6 to 10 seconds no longer than that once you take them out of the boiling water have a towel already ready and dry your apples off completely then set them in your designated area for 48 hours while they're sitting for that. Of time the sap is still going to come through the apples when it's time to dip your apples you want to remove this app with a damp towel and then dry them with a dry towel to ensure that all the sap is off and make sure that your apples are completely dry I have not did a video on the way I do them now because the way I used to do it I used to just take them out of the water and put them in cold water and that was just a way of rinsing them but I changed that completely
