Several people have asked me why I started my decluttering journey and why I wear a mask, so I wanted to answer the questions...while decluttering, of course!
Please visit Bonnie's channel at ‪@ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp‬
Here's the oracle deck I showed in this video: www.etsy.com/l... (NOT a sponsored/affiliate link)
Here is the song I mentioned in this video:
Ateez, New World
Music only: • New World
Performance: • ATEEZ(에이티즈), 몽환적인 분위기가...
Please share your favorite "get stuff done" songs. I'll make a KZbin playlist we can listen to while decluttering!

I just got done listening / watching this as I'm cleaning someone else's home. I just want to say how much I love you telling your story. And I love your storytelling abilities. If you are jealous of people who can organize well, just know that I am just as jealous of the way that you can tell stories and articulate thoughts. That has always been my biggest struggle. So, it's just nice to recognize that everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, and we are all in this together and can benefit from each other's strengths. I haven't had a chance to respond to your email about when we are getting together, but I will when I get home tonight after this cleaning today. Love you, Mira! Thank you for this video!

Thank you for explaining why the mask. It was very tranquilizing to know it is not for health issues - I do care about you, you know? Keep on wearing it if you feel confortable because I love you for who you are and what you ramble about, and not the way you or your house LOOKS (ger it?) So happy that you and Bonnie are coming together - two beautiful souls that make me feel so inspired to keep my house as a HOME ❤

Cheering you on from upstate New York ❤. We grew up so much alike, also an avid book lover and very hard for me to part with books. I love those two carts, would be perfect storage in a laundry or bathroom too. I also love scrapbooking and crafts, like the same types of movies you do and used to sell Gold Canyon candles

Aww Mira, you touched my heart with the story of why you wear a mask. I am looking forward to you gaining the confidence to show your beautiful face. Eyes are the window to your soul. We see in your eyes the person you are. You have no reason for shame, your predominant emotion should be pride in what you are achieving in your home. Bonnie is one of the best. Wish she could bring Mack from midwest magic cleaning with her. He is great too

I am amazed that all of the initiative and work involved in decluttering your house us 100% your own- you don’t have someone pushing you to do it and apparently you’ve also not had any type of therapy to deal with it. From what I know, this is so, so rare. I’m so impressed. It seems like your living room may be just about finished? But also it seems like it’s starting to make you uneasy. I love Bonnie and I know she will help you whip the kitchen into shape in no time- but this may be a good time to see if you can find a therapist to help you deal with the anxiety so you DONT get derailed going forward. Also, don’t worry about what your viewers think about your masks. As long as you are comfortable, do what works best for you.

What an awesome collab that will be with Bonnie! I watch her too :) It's funny, I was thinking if you would do a Q&A video and then this popped up. I was thinking if you ever need a break from decluttering but still want to do a video, I would love to watch you put together a scrapbook page, or rank Unsolved Mystery episodes, or I watch some of the tarot channels too so even a tarot read. Anyhoo, I'm glad you shared your story with us and started a channel. I hope you and the pups have a great week!

Thanks for pointing out the fact that you were having a panic attack in you last video. I don’t think I would’ve known had you not said so. Calling attention to that fact shows just how brave you are to attempt this cleanup, highlights your willingness to be vulnerable, and helps to normalize the mental health challenges that so many of us suffer from, including myself. Anxiety can be crippling, but I am so inspired by you pushing through it to keep striving towards your goals. Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us!

Yayyyy Bonnie said she wants to do a collaboration with you. That will be great. I think what you're doing is amazing. My cleaning songs are many, the first one that comes to mind is UB40. When you said about sitting with your purchases around you, I have done the same sort of thing. Lay them all out on the bed and look through them one by one. I think it was because I didn't get to buy much of anything, so when I did it was special. I think as you get older your tastes can change. I used to like ornaments, and still do but not many because I think of the cleaning of them. I'm not good at walking and can be unsteady on my feet, so I need the floors clear. I still have my keepsakes tucked away. One thing that did me good and helped not to worry too much about "stuff" is when I escaped from my ex husband, I had an hour to grab what I could and get out. I literally started with little more than the clothes on my back and it made me realise it is just stuff, and I can't even remember most of what it was now. Mira you have a lovely laugh and thank you for sharing your story with us. See you next time 👍😀

everyone is telling you not to be ashamed - I'll say you don't need to be ashamed of being ashamed. We all have/do/experience things in life that are shameful, often its not our fault or our choice, but it's still our shame, and it's there for a reason - it helps us change. So don't be ashamed of being ashamed. it's OK - but also, be proud of how you are reacting and responding to that feeling. You're dealing with it and you're whole personality is such a treasure that I'm so glad you are sharing your journey with us.

I totally understand-I had a similar experience as a child on top of loving my things…. My dad always said I got it from him (but mom was that way too) .. emotional attachment to inanimate objects. I worried about hurting their (the objects) feelings, about shirking my responsibilities to them to care for them… intense stuff. Even now I struggle-and I love leaving gifts in their packaging to admire, and be surrounded by purchases. You are not alone. You are doing fantastic, your channel is real, and heartwarming, humorous, and it’s my new favorite! You have a cheering section here in Michigan 🎉 Go Mira!🎉

Wondering if you are noticing a difference in your dogs' behaviour in their new space as well?

Have you ever looked at maximalist home design? You might love it! It’s all about surrounding yourself with stuff, but also treating it with honor and respect. Not piled, but decorated on the walls, and placed with intention. Things aren’t piled like clutter mountain, but every square inch is covered items you love. You might find a lot of joy in this and decorating all of your vertical spaces. Maybe even painting your walls brighter colors . You are doing great, and I think that, even if you were to decorate as a maximalist, it would still required all the declutter you are doing now. The main difference would be that your items would be visually displayed like in a store or a museum. I am the same person who commented about how pausing to decorate with some of your stuff might make you feel more surrounded by it and calm your nervous system. Your tarot card is a perfect example of that. I love it.!❤

Bonnie is the one that brought me over to you. You’re an inspiration so don’t be ashamed of what you’re doing for you and your health. I love your verbiage in your past videos about working those new muscles/neurons in your brain when it comes to decluttering/tackling certain areas in your home. So one of my coworkers told me that her new dog gave birth to puppies. I’ve been wanting a dog but I don’t want to pay rent on it. I feel part of my problem is I’m lonely and depressed which I been like this for years. Yes I need to get it done. I need the determination to get it started. Now if the any of the puppies is a boy then I definitely will need to get it done. Though I found your channel this weekend, I had plans of getting certain things done over the weekend. It didn’t happen, however, I’m okay with changing my Scentsy warmers and a few other things. After coming home from work tonight, I decided I’ll start on part of my new channel content. I can totally understand with the cleaning as a kid. It would take me all day to clean my bedroom as a kid. I had to go through every single little thing. My mom would come in and say this needs to get done. You don’t need that.

I love the way you explained the story of how it all started from that book you sold at the used book store. Isn't it crazy how things like that follow us into our adult lives. I love how you explained how the seeds were getting planted one at a time and finally started to sprout into a full awareness. I would encourage you to not wear your mask. I know it's hard to be more venerable, but it would be really good for your health to not wear it. I wouldn't wait until after your kitchen. Your channel is growing because people enjoy you and your content, and find inspiration in your sharing this decluttering journey. I for one cannot wait for the kitchen, because that is my favorite place.

I lived most of my life shame bound about my many perceived flaws....I very much hope you find your way free of it as I for the most part have. Best advice I can offer is to start treating yourself as you do others, with all the love and care and thoughtfulness. My parents were hoarders, and I was well on my way once, and still have it in me should I ever let myself go there. My parents were also wonderful hardworking people, and had no reason for the shame they felt save becoming accustomed to self judgment and comfortable with their own constant negative self talk. I'm very impressed with how you are doing what you are doing, and I very much hope you're taking the time to pat yourself on the back for doing it. However this journey needs to look for you to be able to keep going, that's okay. Love you, and know that we are all out here pulling for you. ❤

I also had sepsis. It really changed my life and how I thought as well, forced me to retire and I’ve been gradually decluttering the boxes and boxes of stuff we had. Glad to see Bonnie will be there to help as you tackle your kitchen, I hope there are fewer decisions to be made, just grunt work to get through, though nothing is ever easy. Day by day is a good standard to use, I hope it quiets those critical voices that live in our heads. Wishing you the best!

When it comes to gifts, if you gave a good friend a gift, and over time the gift was causing them to feel stress because it was cluttering the house and they weren’t using it …. Would you want them to keep the gift, or would you say don’t be crazy get rid of it! Give yourself the same grace. Whoever gave you that book when you were 10 obviously loved you, and they would not want you to have any feelings of guilt. For them it was just a book. Their love for you was not contingent on what you did with that book. A gift is a display of some one thinking about you ….. the actual item is not relevant once it has changed hands.

It was very interesting to hear what you said about the organizer who came to your house, it was a little teaching moment. And other things you explained, it is very valuable to get this insight, thank you. You are doing amazing and I hope you will soon feel strong enough to drop the mask, there is nothing to be ashamed of.

I heard about your channel and have sat and binge watched all of them so far, I have to say the transformation of not only your home but you overall is amazing! Can hear in your voice your decluttering your mind along with your home. In the first video you were kinda down and seemed a little on the depressed side but now you sound more inspired and cheerful. From what we've seen so far of your home it's beautiful and it's only.going to get better! I look forward to continuing to watch not just your home but you become decluttered!

I also watch Bonnie. So glad she will help you. I have lung issues and I always wear a mask when dealing with dust and boxes. My advise, not that you need it, to look at the end results of living in a clean and orderly home. Look forward to having guests visit instead of fretting. Look at the safety you will have when it is clutter free. You have already got a big start on it. Your button collection is so cool. When you feel down go read your buttons. 😊😊😊😊😊😊. You are doing a fabulous job.

I thought for years I just needed to organize it all better. Never understood it was too much. I had purchased so many storage solutions, including expensive bins. Such a waste. Now I know my home is a container and it had limits. The container dictates how much can stay. The muscles get stronger over time. I now have a bin and basket graveyard to get rid of. ❤

For cleaning music I prefer just soft piano music. No words. Words make me stop and think about the words or remind of other things when I just want to stay focused on the task at hand and relax

enjoyed your little video today.... always nice to see you and hear from you... you don't know but I do not have any kind of radio for music, funny right only when in a car... so it is quiet when I clean... no records tapes or cds, simply amazing... well that is 3 things I won't have to worry about... but none the less, I do enjoy these videos and peoples accomplishments... you are doing awesome...

ll We all have stories, and you are so lucky to have the insight as to what actually fed into your beed to keep things. Also, you are making a difference for your self, and also for many other people who need encouragement. Thanks for your encouragement! Music, I usually put on pandora and go to either piano or a military band, that seems to help some.
