Sorry to comment this on ur video but I’m abit confused, just bought fr 1.4tsi from auction same engine code, as soon as I started it, it was making like a rattling noise and even worse when i revved it, but after a while the noise went down. Do u think it’s the chain

That's the chain tensioner and chain that need doing. If you let it cold start and warm up before moving it it'll be ok but still get it done whenever you can but for now it'll live if it only rattle on the start. Just make sure the rattle goes before you move the car and always use shell fuel in it and it run really well.

Well the parts are about £100-150 and fitting is around £200-300 so I'd say around £400

Same happens to me, but the rattling sound doesn’t go away. Or when I start driving I can not hear it. I first thought that the rattling sound is the normal engine sound for this engine model, but maybe not?
