Cleaning My Vault So I Can Farm Weapons Again

It's a sad reality of this game. What's annoying is when you delete something because it's not good in the current sandbox but then after a buff session from Bungie it's suddenly the meta.

what they should do is have weapons that are modern be able to be collected from collections and basically have a perk pool of perks you’ve actually gotten on a gun so you can pull it out when you wanna use it

@itztizzle one thing to help with your vault cleaning in dim. You can organize the entire system by archetype, so it's much easier to clean out your vault and find weapons. It can be in order by slot and type of weapon. Aegis has a great video on this, and after I watched his video, I've been able to keep up on organizing my vault. Highly recommend. Another thing is that when you want to compare the same type of weapon in the same slot, you can just hit the compare button, and it’ll show all the relevant comparisons. It's very useful and makes it much faster.

i wish there were two vaults, one for armor and one for guns. My problem is i farmed out all the rolls for exotic class items on all 3 characters and that’s over 120 vault space right there

I feel like the exotic class items should work like Aeon gauntlets. And the perk pool should just get bigger as you unlock more rolls. Same for ergo sum

Man, I love the Dark Decider, I have one with the same roll, but with range masterwork, it's so nice. Mine has the extended barrel and ricochet rounds, it's absolutely buttery smooth. Everybody would say it's ass (that's because of the artifact), but paired with the area denial GL's it's a powerful combo! Krait with Subsistence and Headstone, ( I prefer Adagio ), plus Vs Velocity Baton with orbs shitter is the exact alternative.

The vault system is so silly in this game. Every season they give you at least one set of armor that they WANT you to use because it usually gives you rep bonus. So that’s 15 spots there if you use it (which they want you to use it). They give you anywhere from we’ll say 8 to 15 weapons which PvE and PvP need different roles. Then you have the raids and what comes with them, the dungeons and what comes with them. You usually have at least 5 new exotics (between armor and weapons). Then every once in awhile you get things like Ergo Sum and the exotic class items that it’s realistic to keep 5-10 of each one of those. All this to say is you play all three classes, have any interest in both PvE and PvP and you don’t want to only play with the same two things… it’s almost impossible to not have a near maxed out vault.

I don't think I've ever used the seasonal armor for the rep bonus, it's completely negligible.

i typically keep 1-2 cracked weapons of every archetype from all metas/ seasons. keeps the vault small and there are only 1-2 good damage weapons a season so it makes my life easier. think im at ~400 and most of it is weapons. the only thing i dont have is the marsilion c never bothered with world drop / gunsmiths ive just happened to get the other decent ones from em. some weapons i have multiple ones of for gms / dps / total dmg etc. i think when you break things into categories like utility , primary ad clear, secondary ad clear, damage per second, total dmg, it makes it easier to have an idea of what you like in that slot and what you will use vs never use (so many people have an item that just sits in their vault, especially weapons where a new version exists of the same archetype that is simply better)

I’m on console and as a PvE main after this week’s iron banner I deleted every 120 rpm god roll hand canon I had, because after 10 years I still suck with them. Also it feels like optimal TTK means nothing unless you are on fibre even if you have excellent aim.

Breachlight doesn't drop with multi-perks if you focus it. If you do the activity and LEAVE after opening the first chest though, every gun you get from the chest will have double perks.

Recenly i did a vault cleaning myself, i also have like you probably the "TMB " syndrom To Many Builds.so i looked and whatever was not masterworked armor and 1900 power i simply delete. Except artifice armor ofcourse,which resulted in 35 extra deleted items. FYI

I just keep an energy and kinetic of the archetypes. There’s no reason to have 15 different versions of the same archetype, you’ll never use all of them. Keep the favorites and shred the rest.

Yes... The dreaded task of Vault cleaning... That is one solution Bungie should bring. If we could at least get back from Collections the exact item we deleted (same rolls), that would not be suck a frustrating and daunting task... I need to do the same. 😑

I still don’t understand how people struggle with vault space. I probably have had, at most, 300 spaces taken up (within the past month or so) and that’s with close to every element for every type of gun being covered (the only thing I don’t really keep around are sidearms). I probably use 20-30 of said guns semi-regularly.
