You've got to be ready for it, otherwise the foam just engulfs the entire machine 😂 I do vouch for them being amazing for reviving the pile! A good extraction clean then once dry a good foaming and rug renovation would be a powerful combo I think on nice carpet!

Hey Sam all you do with the older model to stop the suds is put a place some plastic wrap over the shampoo tank suds out let n push the hose back over it n it stops the suds until you need it again n yes that is the results you get with a Kirby when you use it right thanks for all your videos n hope this helps you out Lou from usa have the same Kirby great machine !

When I was cleaning my carpet with my older Kirby, I cut down on the shampoo I put in the water. Made a big change and it did a great job. Love the colors of the rug

Honestly I don't think I've ever gotten such good results from a kirby shampooer! Very fun to see the transformation!

I was fully expecting it to not do well and we could have a chuckle and chalk it down to playing with the kirby but no! It had other ideas and boom! Part 3 will involve the cdt and I am tempted to start it off with another foaming to loosen the pile ready for extraction...

Yes, I've only used the G4 with the shut off valve for suds but the later Heritage line had a cap on the hose to turn off the suds. I also don't remember using that much shampoo.

I've used non shut off valve ones before and been OK, but that was at mums old house so I guess I could start moving faster! And yes, following the instructions on the bottle was a mistake, tank 2/side 2 I did less solution and it was alot more manageable

@@beko1987 I think it might be safe to assume that newer Kirby bottles are based of the G series caps. I have only used KIrby rug renovator once or twice and was not impressed with it. I also fear the long term impact of the water as I have heard that using the shampoo system can get to the bearings as well foam and wetness getting sucked in through the cooling fan.
