Cleaning Up Drum Tracks and Hand Trimming Tom Toms

I've been favouring expanders instead of gates on toms lately. Other things I heard that folks used to do in the past were spot-erasing on the tape tracks itself, and manually fading toms in and out of the mix. Cheers from Brazil!

I used to use Flying Fader automation to do the mutes and sometimes mini fades on the toms. Never had the nerve to spot erase on tape, though...Yikes! Mahalo for watching.
