Not only is there a river called “The Nile” but there are stains/dyes used in cellular biology called “Nile Red” and “Nile Blue.” Basically, they make different parts of a cell show up under a microscope. Reacting Nile blue with sulfuric acid produces Nile red. Very creative channel names in my opinion.

The name is alright but it's not as good as NileRed. This is just a cheap rip off channel that copies Nile red but instead of showing actual cool chemistry experiments he just shows the boring stuff like cleaning up after they finish the reactions. And if he wanted to mess with radioactive stuff he should buy some "Negative ion powder" or products from Amazon and or Google! A channel by the name of The Thought Emporium discovered that many of them contain Thorium powder to produce ions. Check out his video Negative Ion Products Are Actually RADIOACTIVE at the link below or just search for it your self. If you like NileRed/Blue then you are almost guaranteed to like this channel too as he creates his own scientific equipment like plasma sputterers, A cold plasma torch, a meat grape, a human brain culture connected to a circuit, fake leather and MUCK MORE! Here is the link to the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWi3qHWLrd18eZI Edit: This comment was a joke with a sincere suggestion of another channel you might like that apparently is still going over people's heads 9 months later. I know they are the same person and that is hinted at when I say Nile Red/Blue.

It's funny how he said, "For now, I'll just let it sit there indefinitely, but someday I'll pay someone to properly dispose of it." That's literally what every nuclear powerplant does with the used fuel. They put it into huge secure concrete casks and just leave it on site and say, "Eh, we'll pay someone later to put it somewhere else."
@BresciGaetano2 ай бұрын
@@RobertCraft-re5sf yeah but nuclear is safe and clean 😁🤑
@generalrubbish951327 күн бұрын
@@BresciGaetano It is, compared to fossil fuels. Nuclear plants produce a relatively small amount of waste, which is precisely why we can afford to just let it sit somewhere for now. There's ongoing research into reprocessing it back into usable fuel, and there are long-term storage facilities in existence or under construction where nuclear waste can be safely stored until it decays, even if that takes thousands of years. Also, the nice thing about nuclear waste is that we know exactly where it is and it's very easy to move it somewhere else. Carbon emissions and greenhouse gases, on the other hand... yeah, they just get belched out into the air and it's very hard to get them back out. Not to mention that carbon capture requires energy, and if that energy is produced by burning fossil fuels, then you're basically trying to put out a fire with gasoline. TL;DR: Nuclear waste is scarier than carbon but it's much easier to handle and get rid of and we produce much less of it.
@BresciGaetano27 күн бұрын
@@generalrubbish9513 it is for the human society, compared to fossil fuel, if we assume that we need to consume even more energy in the future, and if we believe the utopic proposal that those containing sites will be held safe by a stable and prosperous society for thousands years to come (a very very optimistic hope based onto nothing since there is no previous example of anything like that in the past +/-7k years that we have some kind of historical data). The fairy tale structure is almost all there. Not to mention that, if we take in consideration the environment not simply as hour little garden, and we don't imply to be the superior life form that deserves to exploit with no limit (if not for the same our own interest, i.e. survive) said garden. In other words, nothing of that is from a true and honest environmentalist point of view. It's the kind of environmentalism that use an AI to keep track of how much the cat poop and clean the litter without the need to use some precious human energy but feel clean and eco sustainable because it power it with a solar panel... That's good for marketing and posers yeah... not much for the environment itself. It's the same attitude that brought us here in the first place and (not a big surprise) founded by the same people that was behind the oil trade and tech.

@@AFrogInTheStars Oh yeah, I saw that, too. That one was also a cool idea. Though, someone else explained that some of these "Nile" already exist and I believe it was stated one can be made from another which, by the meaning behind a name, sound a bit more cohesive to me. The radiation, while dangerous if exposed to over months or years, does a lot less damage than people believe. Especially from these uranium salts which are most likely already depleted uranium, so the really dangerous stuff isn't in there

Just an idea: incinerate the paper and gloves in your furnace, add silica and the powdered uranium waste, and vitrify it all into glass. This is one of the ways radioactive waste is industrially dealt with, and it might make for an interesting video. Then, there's no chance of water getting in, or the jar getting knocked out of the cabinet, contaminating the room and air with radioactive dust. It makes the whole thing a bit safer to store, and as I mentioned, might make for an interesting video.

@@lightblue254 The object of getting rid of the itch, is to denature the introduced protein that causes it, with heat. A spoon heated with a flame, to the point it's about 130F will not burn you, but it's enough. Hot water heaters can also heat water to a point that changes the protein. We also have proteins in our body, that give beneficial reactions to high heat or low cold. There's no worry of damaging human body proteins with the temperatures involved.
