The metal bucket is a old industrial mop bucket. You are making good progress cleaning up the barn scraps. It was nice for George to stop by and help you load some of it. Now if Scott would stop by.

If you get enough for the scrap to pay for the fuel to get it there you've done well enough. It sure beats paying to have it hauled off.

If it were me I would have made some removable side panels for the truck using the free tin and pipes you have there so you could make bigger loads, my wire welder only cost $140 out the door new and would be of further use installing patch panels on the cars that seem to find their way to you.

As long as you cover the coast of the diesel it will be a win because you didn't have to rent a dumpster several times. I still think you will come out ahead though cash wise. And as the commercial says....the tidiness of the farm..."priceless". Great job, Robert, have a Blessed day.

the idea of metal detecting that area reminds me of when my father and I would find old properties and they would give us permission to explore.....we showed the property owner our finds and usually they could care less but finding square nails, hand wrought hinges, old cast iron and metal toys was our thrill, makes you wonderful how much was in the collapsed part of barn 🤔

Just keep takin bites from that elephant before ya know it, it’ll be gone!. And the investment in straps will pay for themselves after this when ya haul home my treasures from the farm auctions in the future, though I’d invest in some stakes for the side rails that way you can stack higher and contain the scrap easier

Will George become a new member in your cast of characters? Do you have to worry about copperheads under the tin in this season? The farm looks so much better with the scrap leaving.
@tonyward20862 жыл бұрын
I was surprised how cleanly the wood burned away from the tin roofing. I thought u would have lots of half burned wood still nailed to the roofing. Burning it in place was a good decision. It would have taken a huge amount of labor for any usable wood u might have gotten. Love seeing the cleanup going on so fast and what that space might look like in the future with a new shed/barn. I am also looking way out into the future when u actually move out there to live, if that's the plan. Keep up the great work and videos, Robert. Coming to u from the Philippines.

That bucket looks like one of those hand strap on seeders where you poke hole in ground with a stick n drop a seed in ground . That’s my best guess. What an amazing thing you are doing! 10 years from now all this will be documented . A real museum!
@SUGR172 жыл бұрын
It is a mop bucket, the pedal on the side brings two "ringers" together and squeezes the water out of the mop. You can still see on of the ringers (it would have been coated in wood).
