I never knew you could pull so many parts apart...I always clean my vacuum cleaner with anti bac wipes...but now you've opened a whole new world of cleaning 😊😊😊 I'm looking at getting a new vacuum cleaner when we move soon and it's always good to see how they work and clean up. Wow you really got that thing sparkly clean I appreciate it! My only question is the top of the bin has electrical things in it I wouldn't think to put that in water have you had any issues on it going out?

Do you have this model? This one doesn’t have electrics in the lid (this is going from the advice of my husband 😆) some of the hoses however do have electrical components in them so it’s not ideal to dunk these in lots of water ☺️💕

I keep returning to the shark vacuum I think they are brilliant really powerful and this one has tiny little tubes to get into really small spaces like a fan for example it’s so good xxxx

Wow didn't know you could clean the vacuum like that. I have one that different looking to clean. I empty mine sometimes it hard to get out the stuff I vacuum but I use a knife to remove.

Ok so if you can soak the dust compartment in dish soap this will dislodge any grime the dish soap breaks it down and it’ll slide out ☺️ what vacuum have you got? Xxx

Rinse it under running water they advise to do it yearly at shark ❤️❤️

I have a shark duo clean, I think It is unhygienic as you have to pull all the lint out of the collection box by hand as it clogs with lint and pet hair, then you have to un pick all debris out of the roller brush. The small rectangular aperture in the motor brush head gets clogged easily. So.. I tryed a Numatic Henry (full power version not the shit EU spec) I just keep on using till the bag is full which takes a long time, and just swap the bag in 30 seconds . No touching any dirt no breathing any dust, just a basic vacuum cleaner that's works and needs little or no maintenance.

I love the Henry hoovers 🙌🏽 Yeh that’s the only downside to bag less vacuum the dust and having to constantly clean it 🤦🏻‍♀️

Shark says not to use soap to clean the filter

If it’s anything to harsh it can indeed overtime wear away the filter, I’ve been using dish soap which is a gentle detergent on all my filters (sponge filters only not paper) for so long now and it does make me wonder if they say that so people have to buy new filters from them more regularly? Water won’t cut through dirt like a small amount of dish soap will so overtime the filter will need replacing more frequently because it simply won’t work as well if it is baked in dirt and debris 🤔 that’s just a theory of mine though, I became suspicious when I found out dry clean only items sometimes are only labelled as dry clean only because the stores do deals with dry cleaning companies or something like that? There was a tv show about it a while ago xx

Yes it depends on what type of hose, you can use one of the stick cleaners on a powered hose 🙌🏽☺️
