Cleaning Wars: Braava vs Scooba - who is the best iRobot floor cleaner?

I really think that iRobot should bring the Scooba back. They defiantly out perform the Braava by a long shot. What if iRobot made a Scooba that not only washed hard floors but carpets too.

Got two 380s running this week. I've been snagging these off of Ebay. Batteries are still available, but I'm saving all the old batteries I have and looking for ways to replace the cells in them . Looking into options for repairing wheels and brush heads and squeegie strips. Have several 330, 335 and 340 models to clean up and get running. These are really nice machines and I wish iRobot would make them again. Loved your video BTW and appreciated the effort you put into it.

This is an excellent video, thank you for putting all the effort! I had recently bought an USED Scooba 450 and totally amazed by the ability of cleaning. I also owned a Bravva 240, which is also an amazing robot, compare with 450, it does leave water mark and kind of wet floor after cleaning, in that case, 450 totally amazed me on the floor drying function!

I had a 385 scooba and used it until they quit making parts for it, but i absolutely loved it, it was a good hard worker and cleaned the tile in my house not issues. Well, at least the one I had, it was awesome, I really wished they'd continued parts for it. Mine for some reason wouldnt charge in the robot, so i had to take the battery out, and the house was struck by lightning and I had it plugged in at the time to the wall, so I lost the battery and charger. I called to get them replaced and the nice lady told me they had stopped making parts for that about 5 years ago. I did find a guy selling the cable and battery for it, but he wanted too much, so much so I could have bought a new irobot he was way over priced knowing it was a hard item to get. I felt horrible having to toss my long time helper in the trash all clean and ready to run again but couldn't as the battery and cord were destroyed. I did buy it from Hammacher and Schlemer which I tried in case they could help, and here is a testimony to their Life Time Warranty commitment. I bought the irobot scooba through them and it was about at the time, 10 years had passed, well the lady said they dont carry them anymore nor are there any parts, bit because irobot stopped making soare parts and the machine had more life in it, and she knew about the lightning, she gave me credit in the amount for how much i paid for it. So, they really do keep theor promise of warranty for the life of the product. But i did feel bad tossing a robot out that still would have worked jad it a good battery.

I’ve got all of these and I can honestly say cleaning wise scooba 450 but I’m telling you you should try the ILife450…: very good robot for the Money!!!

So, I found a Scooba 230 for sale, but I already have a braava jet 240 and only want it if it's SMALLER than my braava jet. Seeing as you have both of these models, Is the Scooba 230 smaller or about the same size?

Ja do czyszczenia białych fug używałem 30ml octu na zbiornik Scooba 385. Czym zrobiłeś te napisy w łazience na podłodze? Nie wiem co masz na podłodze w pokoju ale jeśli deskę barlinecką lub parkiet to uważałbym z puszczaniem Scooba i Braava Jet na nich bo natryskiwana woda może je zniszczyć. 10:25 skąd wziąłeś wodę z Braava skoro ona jej nie zbiera?

Moje podłogi są "kompatybilne" że scoobami, są wodoodporne. Napisy zrobiłem różnymi kredkami na płytkach w łazience. Samą podłogę potem "resetowałem" między testami szczotką do zlewu a fugi szczotką do zębów której używam do czyszczenia robotów.

Woda jest ze Scooby 450, która myła podłogę po każdym z mniejszych robotów. W teście chodziło o to, żeby zobaczyć ile brudu po nich zostaje.

@@RoboVacParty tak, ale użyłem 450 gdyż wtedy 385tka mi dawała error podczas ładowania i nie mogłem jej użyć.

I got the scooba 230, but am too afraid to fill it with water, as I looked into the empty hatch and found that the bag isn't connected like with the fill hatch and all I see is the inside plastic! IS THIS NORMAL? I'm very unfamiliar with this model, please do find the time to help. 😢

Scooba 230 has a plastic bladder that separates clean water from dirty water, it is only supposed to be connected on one side, the „fill” side. Either way, 230 is waterproof inside, so filling it with water even with the plastic part broken shouldn’t damage it.
