The only issue with some cleaning videos (not Barbie’s just in general) is when view of the cleaning is blocked by their body for a really long time but even then it isn’t a big deal because you get to see before and after shots and get that boost of motivation.

I feel for this mum. One of my relatives, after an abusive relationship, suffered in the same way and also had a small child. Her own mum reported her to child services, and they removed her kid because of the state of her home and general neglectful lifestyle. My relative had to clean up, go to therapy, get help, and work hard to get her daughter back, and she never let the home get to that mess again. Sometimes, we fall down, and it seems too hard to get up without a little help. It doesn't mean that we don't have the ability to turn it around and still be a good mum later. My relative has had her kid back for ten years and even has a baby now, too, and her home has never become like this again. So those accusing you of endangering the kid don't really have a crystal ball to predict the future. You cannot tell what the breaking point for someone is before they change everything. I firmly believe everyone deserves a chance and a little help.

Barbie don't let people get to you when they make comments like that. It's easy to judge when you're sitting at home on your phone and not involved with the situation. I guarantee you that after they saw the condition of that place, the child protective services will do home visits for a long time to make sure that the kid doesn't end up living in filth again. Sometimes people just need a wake up call and I'd say this was hers. When people are living in the fog of deep depression sometimes they just get in a rut and it takes something drastic to wake them up. I think you're doing a great thing for both the kid and the mom. As a mom of 4, I just can't imagine losing any of my kids for any reason. I would die. And I've been in foster care before and it was no good at all. Kids aren't always better off in the system. Some foster parents are not doing it for the right reasons and don't have any love at all for the children that they foster. So you just never know

It is easier to keep a clean home clean than to clean a totally dirty home. I think the 2 yo child will not remember the dirt. A dirty home is unhealthy but not traumatizing for such a little child, but being apart from his mom would be traumatizing. I barely remember things from that age, except an accident I witnessed. One little boy about my age was injured and had blood all over his face. That gave me nightmares for years. But I don't remember if my mother washed the dishes or not.
@kenenigans43 минут бұрын
@@schnetzelschwester I can second that completely. I barely remember anything bad of my childhood (mom was a hoarder), but the thing I do remember and is engraved in my mind is being taken away from my mom by CPS. It was only for 2 years, but those were the longest 2 years of my life. Being taken from your home doesn't mean you'll go to a stable place. I was threatened by older children a lot in those 2 years from home and I that was very traumatising for me.

The people who disagree with your choice to clean this home to help this mother to get her child back need to keep in mind that it is the job of social services to keep this child safe while in his mother's care. As flawed as our social service system is, they are aware of the problem and are in a position to keep this kid safe. Children do better in their own family as long as their is support for that family. Do they blame the landlord for the condition of the apartment? Regular, periodic maintenance could have identified the problem MUCH sooner than it was discovered. Neighbors probably smelled the rotting food and probably had cockroaches coming into their homes. They must have complained to their landlord. The mother needs support and supervision going forward. Barbie and random Johnny did their part. They brought that home back to an acceptable, actually amazing, condition. They are not putting a child at risk. They created a healthier environment for everyone in that building. If the home gets hoarded with trash again, shame goes to all of the people who could have helped, but didn't

Barbie, thank you so much for helping this lady and for talking to your viewers about some of the aspects of human suffering. I am so exceedingly sad to know from what you shared here of the suffering you yourself endured as a young girl 😢. I don't want to minimize it at all but look how that suffering of yours has made you to be able to see, really see the suffering of others. You have turned that negative into a positive in the way you see people's needs and not just see, but respond in the most difficult of situations by saying 'Yes, I will help you.' How many of the people judging your efforts to offer help to the hurting have ever done anything like what you do? My guess is that they never have and probably never will. They will just sit back and watch as others suffer and criticize them for it.😢 You and your channel are helping so many people. Some that are suffering. Some that need your advice to clean. Some who are learning by your example how to love others by offering to do what you can do. It's not your butt I see clearly in your videos, it's your heart. A heart that is beautiful and caring and helpful and kind. You have my highest respect and admiration. ❤ 💕 ❤

Yes, for some kids it's better than their family of origin, but if the family of origin can be helped to make a good home they should be! And it's not your job to make those decisions. Child protective services will be monitoring her to make sure the child is safe. It's their responsibility to decide whether the child should go back to her, not yours. What you're doing is giving them both the best chance of being reunited. Well done!

Child Welfare will make sure the mother is ready to take care of her child even if the house is clean and they will check up on it. Barbie is doing the right thing by cleaning and giving the mom a chance. Too bad Welfare doesn't give the mother help as well. Metal Health is a major problem in the US with no support.

I think people just dont realize everyone is one traumatic event away from possibly ending up like this. Even the ones who talk about how they've suffered and never had anything less than a spotless house. That may be true, but I'm sure it manifests in other equally unpleasant ways if you haven't received help. She may have had a rough wakeup call, but she recognized she had a problem and sought help, and for that, she deserves a second chance.

So true. While I haven’t had to live in conditions like these and at this moment my home is clean and tidy, I know it can change for the worse if I were going through some kind of trauma.

I hope this mother finds support & help in her life to take care of herself & her child. You gave her a fresh clean start Barbie. ❤To all the negative Nancies, look in the mirror before throwing stones. Get off line & help someone in your neighbourhood! Compassion goes a long way.

Thank you for helping the mother. Mental health issues are hard to overcome, and having a huge mess makes it even harder. Now, it's up to the mother to keep it clean and get some help with her mental health. I say this as someone who grew up in a hoarder house with a parent with undiagnosed severe depression (the 90s didn't do mental health issues). Things could have been better, but being removed from the home would have been incredibly traumatizing. Thank you for all you do. Ignore the trolls and negative comments. It's easy for us to watch and comment without knowing anything about the actual situation
