You can also mix 1cup vinegar with 2 tablespoons of xanthan gum to make a cleaning gel. you do have to wash it all off though or the xanthan gum could leave a film. Mix it in your blender or food processor

If you are going to scrub them with the steel wool, why bother with the ketchup? Just wet them and start scrubbing.
@CleanWithConfidence Жыл бұрын
Lol, the ketchup makes the gunk easier to remove. Same concept with spraying a bathtub with a cleaner before you scrub. Let the cleaner do the work, loosen up the gunk, then scrubbing is a whole lot easier👍
@sivasunder74322 жыл бұрын
I suggest you use an old toothbrush than using a wool scrubber to penetrate the grooves. Secondly, instead of washing away the ketchup, scrub the items with the ketchup and see the difference. Once the scrubbing is completed wash away the items. Pat them dry.

If your looking to have your valuble collectors pennies preserved and graded properly avoid the recommendations in this video. In fact use this video as a guide to what NOT to do to your coins. NEVER use abrassive compounds or steel wool on any plated coins, pennies especially. If your looking to clean your average circulated pocket change this will do the trick, better yet, vinegar and baking soda works just as well.
