Distilled water is very common here in the US, grocery stores sell it in gallon jugs for around $1. Its commonly used in things like irons, steam cleaners, Cpap machines etc....basically anywhere you want to reduce the amount of mineral deposits coming from the water clogging something. It is simple to make as "distilling" simply means turning a liquid to a gas, then recondensing the gas to liquid since when you boil/steam water the steam leaves behind the minerals in the water. Side note, you shouldn't drink distilled water as it will dissolve minerals in your body and flush them out when you pee.

Distilled water is safe to drink and does not do that at all 😂 Because it lacks minerals, it's not something you'd want to drink as it would taste bland, and you'd be missing out on those minerals, but it absolutely does not take them away from your body.

The reason you would end up low in minerals from drinking distilled water is because it lacks them not because it takes them away. It's not hard to actually look something up and stop lying.

Distilled water is what it says on the tin…bottle: the water is boiled off and then condensed again. The main reason to do this is to get rid of the minerals dissolved in the water and other impurities, for applications where a buildup of limescale would be really bad (like in your car's coolant system or when refilling a lead acid battery). So yeah, it's generally food safe, you just shouldn't drink only that and nothing else. ;)

Distilled water is totally safe to drink. The only difference is it doesn’t have some of the minerals you might want to have for health reasons like calcium and magnesium. Some people distill water to remove potential impurities then remineralise it before drinking

Distilled water is also necessary for a lot of medical uses and devices. For example, those with a cpap device to combat sleep apnea are advised to use distilled water in the device's humidifier chamber.

Normally drink distilled water. Use for teas and coffee too. Different taste because minerals and other elements are removed. Wehave hard water, so a distiller at home is great.

Hi Barry, please do not drink distilled water in hight amounts. It is not ok to do so, because distilled water has been striped off all salts that are usually in tab water. As a biochemist I can tell you that if you drink large amounts of distilled water the cells on your body will swell up and rupture due to the lack of salts in that water. Be safe and don't drink large amounts of it. Otherwise I really enjoy your videos 😊

What type of biochemist are you? 1) Distilled water is not the same as deionized. 2) you can safely drink distilled water as part of a balanced diet. Minerals are in the food you consume. 3)Water intoxication happens when you consume excessive amounts of water. (8 little glasses of distilled water/day will not cause a salt imbalance and your blood and blast your cells) 4) stop using a degree to spread misinformation like this, next time link an article.
