Clear coating a 1985 Chevy C-10 square body truck with Poppy's Patina Clear Coat Gloss

Great video and cool truck. I recently used Poppy Patina gloss after watching your video. Great stuff. My daily driver is a 2003 Toyota Camry, white in color. Anyone who knows white older Toyotas know the factory clear coat goes away and dulls, oxidized white color. I’ve seen a lot of possible fixes and ended up using Poppy gloss and it turned out fantastic. I washed with dawn soap and then I wet sand my car with 800 grit and garden hose. Then I washed again with dawn soap and Poppy grey scrub pad. My headlights are also old and dull and did those with 800 wet sandpaper and Poppy’s grey scrub pad. Afterwards when dry used Poppy’s wax and tar remover per instructions. Then put the Poppy’s wipe on gloss and wow. What an improvement. I wait a few weeks and add a good paste wax to protect Poppy clear coat but it made my dull paint look close to new again for a 21 year old car. Thx for the video.

I think a good wet sand beforehand would help it a ton. Just to knock down the defects.

I wish I knew :(. I ended up having to sell it to fund an engine rebuild project on a Pontiac. Machine shop work is very expensive these days. Looked great the last time I saw it though and I will definitely be using the product again :)
