margaret frost yea, Most kill without even processing the fish and throw them away I can understand if you eat them but they don’t kill them like they should How you should kill is break the spine near the head with a hit from a heavy object (most common knive grip) so they are paralised and stab there heart so that’s not good if they let them drown

We moved to Mississauga from Chicago in 1968 for my first 2yrs of high school then later to Texas. My friend' father had a lake house on Lake Simcoe. The first week of June my friend invited me to the lake house. We rowed about 300 yds offshore and I put my finger in the water to feel the temp. Didn't feel too cold so I jumped off the boat into the water. It was freezing. Guess the first inch of surface water was much warmer where I dipped my finger. I stayed in the water as long as I could and when I got out my skin was a blueish-purple color from the cold water. Moving from Chicago I thought I could skate well enough to play hockey with all the kids in the neighborhood and my friends. They skated circles around me and decided to play goalie instead (no mask). Loved playing hockey and street hockey in Canada. My friend and I would go to a few Maple Leaf games each year. $5 cheap seats and about 35 cents to take the Go Train from Clarkson to downtown. Learned to snow ski in Canada as well and got a year lift ticket for $35 back then in the Mansfield ski area. Still go skiing in the US but lift ticket prices are outrageous. Got my son into skiing at age 10 (16 now) and he snowboards.

Hasn't happened lately. Still love to fish that lake all season tho better then work😜

@@holybeef7690 the lakers have been hurting but a lot as changed in 3 years. that's to be blamed on the guides in the summer who keeps fishing and pulling fish in 80s water and take pictures althought they have their limits.

After many disappointing perch trips to simcoe over the last few years I think it’s time to give whitefish a try. What would you recommend for a beginner to pick up tackle wise? I’m already setup with a helix ice flasher and have several ice rods from UL to Medium action. I browsed your website for a bit and put together a cart with that I think I’d need but any input is appreciated.
