We moved to Mississauga from Chicago in 1968 for my first 2yrs of high school then later to Texas. My friend' father had a lake house on Lake Simcoe. The first week of June my friend invited me to the lake house. We rowed about 300 yds offshore and I put my finger in the water to feel the temp. Didn't feel too cold so I jumped off the boat into the water. It was freezing. Guess the first inch of surface water was much warmer where I dipped my finger. I stayed in the water as long as I could and when I got out my skin was a blueish-purple color from the cold water. Moving from Chicago I thought I could skate well enough to play hockey with all the kids in the neighborhood and my friends. They skated circles around me and decided to play goalie instead (no mask). Loved playing hockey and street hockey in Canada. My friend and I would go to a few Maple Leaf games each year. $5 cheap seats and about 35 cents to take the Go Train from Clarkson to downtown. Learned to snow ski in Canada as well and got a year lift ticket for $35 back then in the Mansfield ski area. Still go skiing in the US but lift ticket prices are outrageous. Got my son into skiing at age 10 (16 now) and he snowboards.

I browsed your website for a bit and put together a cart with that I think I’d need but any input is appreciated.
