Compared to Nvidias noise cancelling this uses way less resources e.g Nvidia noise cancelling uses about 15-30 of a 3070ti!!!!! While steelseries uses around 2-5 at MOST. Using a i7- 8700k which is still a good CPU but its still nowhere near the performance as the newer generations.

you guys are insane I just found this online xD It was like a hidden gem wtf thank you so much I needed this really bad I'm having like a fan on constantly, because of the heat in the summer and I was searching so much for a noise canceling software, but I couldn't find one really that is for free and unlimitted to use + really good quality. Here I am once more thank you so much! I even just see that you guys also have the boost for the volume in it. My earbuds was kinda low with the volume even on 100% and I'm having some custom settings for KZbin to stream with. Also thanks for this. I had FxSound for that, but then it doesn't work anymore so I'm using yours aswell for that. I hope that it can just run in the background just fine while gaming. Because my PC isn't the greatest anymore because of the CPU and RAM that can go to 100% usage :/

SteelSeries Sonar has a high-demand on the PC performance. Used on my desktop PC, it works well; used on my laptop, it produces crackling sounds for seconds when I open a webpage at the same time. The latest version of Sonar makes it difficult to route the app playing.

High demand? yeah maybe on a core 2 duo from the early 2000s.......might be time to upgrade your pc as this uses not even 1% cpu on a 12700

I used this last summer and it was a godsent when I could for the first time talk with people online while having a fan blast me in the face at the same time and not have people tell me to get out of the hurricane. I SORELY WISH this tech would come to android devices. When using earbuds people say that cars sounds like a knife that is slicing their eardrum out.. I'd love to apply this to phone calls etc, that would be so amazing.

AMD noise supression filters it out completly and can be enabled on any mic, RTX voice is probably as good or better

I had a ss nova 7p and the mic was extremely sensitive compared to my hyperx cloud 2 wireless. Hyperx mic is really good cancelling noise around you like people talking. The novas and turtle beach microphones are terrible they're extremely sensitive.

how do I reset this back to off by default? having to turn it off everytime I restart is a huge hassle. The feature doesnt really work properly in high noise environment, which made the audio cuts off like static, making it impossible to hear rather than you can still hear them with noise.

@@Tui3694 Not so obviously. Since the Strix Go uses it's own circuitry to do the AI magic. It's really only a matter of time when competing products from SteelSeries and the like, will be able to do the same. But I guess now is not that time.

I've had the arctics nova pro wireless for cp and ps5 for 2 weeks now paid $450.00. I go to the gg app on my pc set everything up can have music full blast mic dosen't pick it up when I bring them over to ps5 I can barley breathe without my teammates hearing me I'm about ready to return them any suggestions?

The software is the only reason i still stick with SteelSeries. They needa redesign the headsets cause they ALWAYS brake right at that hinge. Nvidia Broadcast works Much better for noise cancellation

I don't use Steelseries headsets but I've been using their Sonar software for over 6 months now with a Coolermaster MH752 and it's hard to go back now. Being able to EASILY set chat volume and game volume to different devices is a godsend. I also use the microphone equalizer to make further improvements.

First hand use of this, it does NOT preform like this. It's either set high enough that I cut in and out myself to rid of the background noise, or it just continues to pick up background sounds. Using Nova Pro wireless with the clearcast.

@@Abztract check the corsair hs80 wireless mic, the mic quality of that headset is superb. And as for the wireless mic from arctis line up, you can tweak the equalizer to get your preferred mic quality.

Probably on very old CPU's yes. I've noticed up to 5% CPU usage in a discord voice channel but 5% is nothing for something as modest as my i5-10400.

no, it's actually enhances background noises when you start talking, so at first your voice will be clear, but after some time, other in voice party will hear more background noise than yours. I have nova 7, tried everything, but I assume that background noise cancelling works only on PC

This wont fix my insanely oversensitive mic on my new arctic 7+ headsets. No matter what settings I change in sonar or in the engine itself changes nothing. My mic picks up wind gust in trees that are 50 meters away from my window thats slightly open. It picks up every breath I take and "just lower mic volume" doesn't do the trick. Anyone that can help?

Get yourself a better headset I use a hyperx cloud 2 wireless and the mic is extremely good with noise cancelling compared to the nova 7p or TB stealth 700max.

Yeah, but most people wont be sitting playing right next to a vacuum the whole time. The less the ai has to cancel out the better the quality you can also adjust the slider and only filter as much as needed.

If that's a Steelseries mic I'm avoiding them, as it's awful sounding. I'm so confused by this app. It would be so nice if you made detailed tutorials on KZbin, not just demos like this one. I'm checking out the Frugal Streamers turtorial on this software currently, so will come back to give my opinion. 🤔Edit: Needs more mouse-over tips for everything. Also, the mixer needs to be visible as we change the microphone options so we can see the effect AS we change them.

From what I can tell the the "Noise Canceling" only applies to the microphone. What about people with sensory overload to sounds. And want to drown out that same noise while wearing the headphones. "Sound sensitivity refers to a phenomenon where individuals have a heightened, often uncomfortable, response to sounds that most people can tolerate or ignore.
