Cut over hunting is some of the best hunting ever! I'm always sad when it gets to the point where you can't see in it anymore .

This is a very smart management plan another option for sections of remaining hardwood blocks would be to have selective cuts or a thinning operation. This would greatly open up the understory and create mid-successional habitat promoting increased mast productivity in the remaining hardwoods as well as some timber revenue.

Really like the idea of clear cutting parts of timber to provide habitat for deer. I don't agree with the spraying, which I understand the context, but we need to stop killing nature by spraying.

I love this I've got 25 acres in the middle of 550 that the logger got carried away with and pretty much clear cut it well I guarantee you everything else is so wooded that my place is going to be a honey hole

Did everything in that clear cut grow naturally after cutting it out or did you have to throw some of it in there and how long did it take for it to grow to that much?

Just clear cut 50 acres in ohio. Getting ready to clear another 40 and select cut 35 ac.

If you leave the stumps. Alot will sprout this red brush and the deer love it. Especially maple , seems to me.
