Really taking shape. Next time instead of using the bucket on the skid steer, try using the forks. They will pick up those logs much easier and with less dirt. Thanks very much for sharing.

How about the back story on how you acquired the building Matt? At first it was your friends, and you were helping him fix it up. Did you buy the place or lease it from him, if so why did your friend decide to let it go?

Since you’ve evidently already have part 2 done, I would have suggested putting (2) concrete catch basins about 100 ft apart along the bottom of the hillside perimeter, that way you can control the water. It’s possible that’s an underground spring where your A-6 got stuck, but more likely runoff from the upper property in either case this is where the catch basins would shine. As far as that lone slab goes could you use it in front of one of your man door exits- keeps the shop floor clean too.

Oh Matt - plan your work so you only have to handle stuff once. If you had driven the white truck round the back, cut up the logs to length, load the truck by hand; you would not have chewed up the lot, you would have proper length firewood, you would have saved using diesel in the machines and had a safe level load to take home. Phew! I'm off for a beer!

non-ethanol fuel can be found around lakes where they sell boat gas. i just use straight 30wt. non detergent oil in my premix, unless i find two stroke oil on sale. been using it since i ran my yammers 80 dirtbike around the farm as a kid in the 70's and 80's. it was what my dad used in his chainsaws, so that's what we had. i still have and run my dad's poulan 3400 counter vibe saw on occasion, and it still runs strong after over 40 years of cutting firewood without an overhaul. my stihl saws don't seem to mind it either. you just have to mix it at the ratio the mfgr. specifies.

Keep in mind that those bigger trees were absorbing and transpirating up to 150 gallons of water per day, depending on size and species. You are now going to have to manage a few thousand gallons a day that was not previously running out of the hillside. I've had similar problems removing just a couple large trees. Crushed rock and drainage systems will take care of it.

I like Mercury outboard marine 2-stroke oil for all my 2 stroke needs. It’s not expensive and has a tried and true long track record for performance and stability. I also only use 100% pure gasoline in all of my engines including cars, trucks, motorcycles. The gains in HP and MPG plus stability in my vehicles and equipment far outweighs the increase in price. I mix a 40-1 instead of 50-1 ratio in my still because your right a little bit richer = more lubricant to the engine. Great Work Love your Energy!

Matt such a great video as always. I was wondering if you could help me with some of the music in this video? I'm trying to find the song you are playing during time laps of cutting up the trees on the ground right before you start talking about the drainage issue in the back area? Your videos, in conjunction with the music, really take your content to the next level imo. If possible, start putting the names of the songs in text on the video before the music starts so we can better find the songs.

I had a buddy tell me years ago if you want your lawn more weed Wacker's or snowblower motorcycle anything that you don't drive all the time or use all the time, when you are going to store it put some two cycle oil in the gas let it run for a while and you will never have a problem with them starting the next year. It doesn't matter to me what brand or who makes the two cycle oil, I have used just about all the different brands and ever since I was doing this never had a problem with my motorcycle or anything else. I let them run for about 25 minutes and I will put a little extra in so I see some smoke coming out once that happens I put it away and when always I take it out no problem

I agree with the ethanol free gas. I have read to make sure to use oil for air cooled engines for… air cooled engines… due to the rpm’s and temperatures they run. Oil for marine applications has better corrosion protection I believe, but will break down in an air cooled engine. That’s my understanding, not an oil expert. I like your channel keep it up.

Hi I only use ethanol free fuel on all my two strokes and older power equipment. For my two strokes I'm using Husqvarna oil I'm adding 1 oz per gallon of seafoam and stabilizer all at the same time. I've been doing this now for the last 5 to 10 years I haven't had to take any carburetors apart to clean them and everything starts right up no problems. Now for my lawn mower it can accept ethanol fuel. ethanol fuel from some schools I have attended has a 17 day shelf life I add an additive into the ethanol fuel that helps stabilize the separation of the alcohol and gas. I also add 1 oz per gallon of seafoam into this mix as well. My mower is 10 years old this year and I haven't had the carburetor off this machine either.

I always use premium non-ethanol gas in every small engine I own. For 2-•stroke, I use Amsoil Saber. I've been using that for more than a decade without an issue. It doesn't smoke and it doesn't clog spark arrestors. I don't use my chainsaw as much as I used to but it always fires right up after sitting for about a year usually. I don't have anything against the premixed stuff other than its highway robbery (even moreso than premixed coolant).

I only use alkylate premix fuel on the smaller two strokes. I think you only get Aspen and Stihl alkylate stuff in the US. Over here it`s readily available and not tremendously more expensive than regular gas. I like the alkylate stuff, because it stores well, doesn’t gum up the carbs, and don’t produce so much crap in the exhaust for you to breathe. On the snowmobile, I use regular fuel and synthetic two-stroke oil. Taryl fixes all did a test on various fuels, including regular gas and alkylate. If the engine needs a fatter mix (like my trimmer) I add some more oil to the alkylate premix
