In our opinion, the Clearly Filtered is the best water filter pitcher in 2023. That’s because it’s NSF-tested to remove 365+ different and potentially harmful contaminants (chloramine, lead, chromium-6, etc.) that may be lurking in your water supply - more than any other pitcher on the market. Thus, it provides safe and great-tasting drinking water.
Who Should Buy the Clearly Filtered Water Pitcher?
The Clearly Filtered pitcher is best for people who deeply care about the quality of their drinking water and want it to be as clean & healthy as possible with a pristine taste. The pitcher is ideal for small and large households, and is also suited for people who don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on a home water filtration system.
Clearly Filtered Water Filter Pitcher Main Pros:
-Gives access to refreshing filtered drinking water with pristine taste
-Tested against NSF standards 42, 53, 244, 401, and P473 to remove potentially harmful contaminants from water making it safe for consumption (99.5% chlorine, 99.7% chloramine, 99.3% lead, 97.8% chromium-6, 98.3% arsenic, up to 99.9% of pharmaceuticals, up to 99.9% of dozens of pesticides and herbicides, 99.9% Bisphenol A, up to 99.9% of volatile and semi-volatile compounds, up to 99.5% of perfluorinated chemicals, 99.5% fluoride, up to 99.99% of bacteria and other microorganisms)
-Easy to use
-Long-lasting filter cartridges
-Made in USA
-30-day money-back guarantee + lifetime warranty
Clearly Filtered Water Filter Pitcher Main Cons:
-One of the pricier water filter pitchers
-No actual NSF certifications, only testing
-Might spill on first use

Wait, the fox is guarding the henhouse. Clearly Filtered is making money off of their water filters and advertised contaminate removal claims. Then why doesn't Clearly Filtered submit their filters to the NFAS (National Sanitation Foundation) for official certification? This is 2023. To trust the claims of companies is BS. Berkey Water is under a class action lawsuit for their false claims. You almost had me until you admitted that Clearly Filtered isn't certified.

Hi Alexa… I just watched your video on the Clearly Filtered Water Pitcher. Very informative! I would like to make a suggestion however. I found myself rewinding the video over and over to understand what you were saying. You spoke very quickly and the acoustics in your kitchen amplified that problem. I appreciate that you offer transcriptions but that kind of defeats the convenience of watching a video. Please realize I am NOT critiquing your work to offend or upset you. Just giving you an older persons view of the video. A lot of us older folks these days, rely more and more on videos like yours, they can and do make our lives much easier. Nice job Alexa! Your video was very helpful. I have used a Berkey for ten years and but have fluoride in our water and just hated the whole process of the white fluoride filters. After watching your video I decided to order the CF pitcher and I love it. The only trouble I had was priming the filter. I have arthritis in my hands and it was very difficult to fasten the filter onto the priming bag tight enough, so the water just flowed over the top and no water came out of the bottom. After a few unsuccessful tries, I finally was able to grasp it with one of those rubber jar openers and twist it tight enough and it worked! Now I am enjoying fresh clean water. Thank you!

Tips: I got my Clearly Filtered Pitcher for around $64. It was on sale, plus I subscribed to the filter replacements. When they're having a sale, and you are subscribed to the filter replacements, you can go into your account and apply the sale price to your already discounted filters. Of course, your price per year of replacement filters depends on how much water you filter. For me, the filters will last 6 to 8 months, so only around $68 or less per year with the subscription discount, plus using a sale code. The pitcher holds 1/2 gallon of water, so you just calculate how many gallons you use per day. I only have to fill mine once a day, unless I need more for cooking or for guests. So I can use a filter for approximately 200 days. For me, 6 months is a good estimate, so only two filter replacements per year. Great value! Much cheaper, and so much easier than paying for and lugging heavy bottled water cases home, plus trying to keep stocked up.

We purchased two filters/pitcher over six months and can definitely see a reduction in quality. The second pitcher kept leaking from the same location and the replacement filter for the first unit couldn’t be activated. Clearly Filter customer service insists on customers troubleshooting with parts over a course of several weeks with gaskets and removing the filter and reattaching it. Return shipping is the responsibility of customer even if the unit is defective. Water from the second unit doesn’t even taste the same as the first unit. Not sure what’s going on here but the quality and the consistency is definitely degrading.

I know it's supposed to keep in the "good" minerals... but I just didn't see much of a difference (before/after). Maybe if your town has soft water, you might get better results. I decided to get the Zero Water filter instead, because at least it reduces TDS to zero. Then I can just add back my own minerals. I now make magnesium bicarbonate water... so the zero filter helps to get everything out.

Shower filters have pretty high flow rates but are rather small, so they tend not to remove a whole lot of contaminants. So, the "limited lifetime" of 24 months for the pitcher being reviewed? 🙄 Simply stating @ 2:39 "the nice thing about this company is they do provide a lifetime warranty" is misleading or uninformed. It's a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase for this pitcher (no warranty on filters), far from what the average consumer would consider "lifetime". It seems Clearly Filtered only uses the buzzwords "limited lifetime warranty" in the hopes consumers won't delve into the warranty details.

This particular filter has been shown to INCREASE cobalt levels after filtration when another KZbinr had it lab tested. Now, cobalt is a part of vitamin B12 complex, which plays a massive role in the nervous system and neurological conditions. I can only guess that perhaps an elevated cobalt level may be interfering with vitamin B12 and thus your nervous system. It may be helpful to get your cobalt and B12 levels tested. I'm not sure how the antibiotics fit in the picture though. Not a doctor, just my self educated guess.

TDS is not a good parameter for measuring water quality except for certain cases like when you want to measure the salt rejection rate of your RO membrane. For example, if your water contains healthy amounts of calcium and magnesium that contributes to TDS, and the Clearly Filtered doesn't really remove these minerals.

Hey Michelle, Thanks for your question. As for Brita, their filters are much more affordable. However, they are NSF-certified to remove about 25 contaminants only, depending on which version you buy. Generally speaking, the filtration process is nowhere near as thorough as with the Clearly Filtered Pitcher. And for Berkey (I'm assuming that's what you meant), their gravity water filters are pretty solid which is why it's our go-to brand for this type. They're NSF-tested to remove a whole bunch of contaminants.

It could be that your water is already pretty clean right from the tap, so low hardness for example. What you could do is get a new replacement filter and see how long it takes to filter one pitcher with it. If it's about the same, all is good. You can still continue using the old one afterwards.

@@angiepattillo3599 Sorry for the late reply, Angie. If you allow the filter to dry properly it shoudn't be an issue. But better to double-check with CF. The number of contaminants are not really the problem with filters clogging. It's more about their types. Regarding "overpriming", CF filter elements don't contain membranes. There is a stainless steel mesh, activated carbon, and a composite shell. All that could potentially happen is channeling, but I doubt it.

I made a video and sent it to Clearly Filtered through email. They responded by sending a new filter. This filter is perfect. No leaks, and takes around 15 minutes to filter the water. I had also been concerned that all the water was coming out of one area of the filter outlets. The filter is created to have the water "wander through" the filter to clean the water. TDS level does not equal contaminant level. Yes, many dissolved solids are harmful contaminants, but many, like calcium are not.
