They got it ass backwards. In texas they got rid of inspection for a lot of rural and small cities but make us still register every year. I think it makes sense to have to do yearly inspections but not register a vehicle that is already in their system.

@@Mrhandyhitman by getting rid of inspections, meant my inspection business closed up. hopefully, retired off to a nice rural / small city somewhere. registration is for the state revenue. its like buying a ticket to ride on the city bus, no way that the $ticket can pay for the ride from the agency standpoint, but at least its some revenue.

Everything Trump said was false. The income tax started in 1861. So we had a constitutional republic for only 79 years before the income tax was created. We have been a constitutional republic since 1789. It is now 2025. So approximately 236 years. 236 - 79 =157. Since 157 > 79, we clearly did not go longer without an income tax then we did with one. In fact we have had a an income tax for nearly twice as long as we haven’t. And we weren’t a superpower and didn’t have near the infrastructure we do now. We literally cannot maintain our infrastructure without an income tax.

It's not a lie. Trump literally said it. Direct quotes out of his mouth “When we were a smart country, in the 1890s … this is when the country was relatively the richest it ever was. It had all tariffs. It didn’t have an income tax,” Trump said after a barber asked whether it would be possible to jettison the federal income tax. “Now we have income taxes, and we have people that are dying. They’re paying tax, and they don’t have the money to pay the tax.” A few days later, podcaster Joe Rogan asked Trump whether he was serious about replacing federal income taxes with tariffs. “Yeah, sure, why not?” Trump said during his interview Friday on “The Joe Rogan Experience.”

Existing property tax is a trap to steal people's house and land. Creating a one time property tax when property is purchased is ok, but after that there should be a flat suggest contribution that can be paid in part or full at any point during the year without fines, interest and risk of local government stealing your property and auctioning it.

Yes. Instead of paying income taxes, you’d be paying much higher prices for imported goods. Sellers of imported goods will raise their prices because of the higher cost their suppliers are charging them to cover the cost of the tariffs. It’s a wash. You’ll be out the money either way. Would it make your loss feel better to call it inflation instead of taxes?
@Ap9872
@Ap9872 2 күн бұрын
If I have a choice between the foreign, more expensive product, and a cheaper domestic product, I now will choose the domestic option. Much like people now buy the foreign goods because they are competitively priced. It's amazing how people can't grasp that we can survive without cheap Chinese goods. The demand for those items, if any,can be shifted to an American producer, and sold at a now cheaper cost. The income tax is not optional, however, a tariff that increases cost for some goods is. A flat tax rate, and a reduction in federal spending is the true solution here.

We weren’t taxed 7:56 on holding real estate (homes) we have already paid for all our lives with money we earned and we’re already taxed on. Many people are now taxed on Social Security which is a tax on a tax. Medicare is not free, we pay monthly for it even though we have paid into it for our entire working lives. President Donald Trump has proposed using tariffs to replace income taxes. During his 2024 presidential campaign, he suggested that implementing tariffs could lead to the elimination of the federal income tax. YAHOO FINANCE He also announced plans to create a new agency called the External Revenue Service to collect tariffs and other revenues from foreign nations. AP NEWS However, experts have expressed skepticism about the feasibility of this proposal. Replacing the individual income tax with tariffs would require imposing significantly high tariffs on imported goods, which could lead to increased prices for consumers and potential negative impacts on the economy

Furthermore, the budget battle is looming in a couple months. That will be the first glimpse into how this slim majority Republican House works. If the past is any indication, it's going to be a bumpy ride. #2 --- The midterms are 1yr9mo away (Nov 2026) and we don't know the outcome. That is just 1 section of an alphabet agency. Now multiply that across the entire gov't, at all levels (local, state, federal) and that's not even taking into account all the money this country just gives away to other countries! And then there's all the duplicate and do nothing agencies! The amount of money wasted is obscene and I for one am sick of it! End all that and then talk to me about the size of gov't!

Our tax cycle is repetitive. We're getting taxed on the same money at multiple junctions. I'm in favor of eliminating: Income taxes, Property taxes, and Estate taxes. This would allow people to actually own their property and build wealth. We would still have point of use taxes.... like sales tax and all the other regulatory fees for this and that. I'm in favor of shifting to tariffs on all imports to at least 25% and more in some cases. Instituting a 5% federal sales tax and maybe a sales tax on real estate transactions. People who buy a house to keep would pay that tax once. Then, when they're done paying off their house, they'll truly own it. They could pass it on to their children, and it would be a generational wealth attribute. These changes would actually bring in more income. Sure, the cost of goods would go up by 25%. But, the money in your pocket would go up by 25 to 53 %. Now, you are taxed when you earn, and when you buy. In this alternative, you would be taxed only when you buy. It's much better for everyone. Those who have more disposable income will buy more and pay more. Will the host of this video comment on these ideas. Thanks

How repulsive is it that our taxpayer money has been misappropriated for the last 2-3 decades on things we never approved, and they fight over things we actually need or demand?? Almost like it was profitable somewhere.

You’re being disingenuous with your viewers. Yes as you have explained tariffs are very low and provide hardly any money to the government right now. That’s the whole point. Trump is going to raise those tariffs where they will provide much more money. I realize even in that capacity, they still won’t provide as much as being taken in through the current income tax However, they will make it possible for Trump and the government to lower the income taxes significantly because of the newly increased tariffs. Please explain it correctly to your viewers.

The higher tariffs get the fewer people will be willing to pay them. When people buy domestically produced goods (which are more expensive than the imports prior to tariffs or there would be no point at all to the tariff) they don't pay the tariff.

How about no property tax? As it is, we can’t truely “own” our land or house. Before you say it’s impossible, look at countries like China that don’t tax your home

Thanks, Brian. Just because President Trump hasn't said it yet, doesn't mean it will not happen. If revenue income was based on SSA tax, that's gone, and tax on OT is gone. Revenue on tips is gone...so ya see, the next step will be pensions, W2 earnings, and capital gains.....all will be gone IMO Rember, we've gots the gold! Gold will end the Federal Reserve
