For those wondering, Summer was transferred from CMA to Dolphin Research Center in florida where she lives with 26 other dolphins.

Wow! What hard work, expertise and dedication. It must be a mix of emotions when an animal is finally ready for release, or as in this case, for a move to a more suitable and permanent facility. Thank You Clearwater Marine Aquarium!

The dolphin lives each day grateful that her home for life was in the Dolphin Research Center, the best sanctuary for dolphins, surrounded by nature and friends who love her a lot. I Love Summer the Dolphin!! 🥰🐬🥰

Love CMA and their rescue Team. It is what inspired my friends and I to make a conservation animal rescue Team our own in response to stressed and injured animals. On the wellbeing of released and nonreleasable animals. We need more animal rescue, education, and conservation aquariums and marine parks like these!💖🐋💧

Ultimately, all marine mammals should have large areas to live and social interaction with peers. Dolphin encounters may or may not be able to structure this correctly some day. It would have to be a regulated non profit. What are your thoughts.

This Dolphin is now named "Summer" at the Dolphin Research Center in Grassy Key Florida. Speaking with people in current connection with Summer's care, I was told it was based on her current home having spotted dolphins in the past and history, data & information to assess her individual needs. This is a decision made by NOAA and the National Marine Fisheries Service. I know this comment was made 6 years ago but I'm happy to report Summer is doing exceptionally well, where she was just learning to swim in this video, she now able to do incredible dives and is loved by many people and dolphins alike, she lives with a group of females, with mothers, grandmothers, siblings sisters and babies alike, and has even been a helper for another rescue dolphin named Ranger from Texas who was also found stranded. Today January 27th is her 9th anniversary hence attention returning to this video. Clearwater Marine Aquarium stranding crew did an exceptional job rescuing and rehabilitating this lovely little spotted dolphin.

Mark Diorio when hope first met winter she was scared because of winters penduncle. That led hope to attack winter and winter to swim away and hide.

Summer was not released. She is in the Keys at Dolphin Research Center. They do Facebook live videos and she likes to pop up and say hi once in awhile.
