Love cleavers! The healing properties and the taste. I describe it as a celery & cucumber cross. 😋

Interesting. I started putting a fresh sprig in my Dada daily morning tea to help clear his lymphatic system and his edema. A couple weeks in, he reset the boundaries of an abusive relationship that had plagued him for decades....no less on a day when he was not feeling well. He said sometimes when you don't feel well the words come better. All I know is that it was long overdue and cathartic for him to assert himself relative to the particular relationship.

How do other galium compare? We don't have cleavers but we do have galium palustre everywhere (marsh bestraw). They look similar but not sticky. Similar medicinally?

I took cleavers for relationship/community issues years ago. Just was feeling tangly, hot, and dry if that makes sense. Deranged pitta. Herbalist suggested cleavers and gave me a big bag of loose dry herb. I would make a huge batch every day and let it cool then chug it. It was so gross- tasted like dad mowed near a water cup on the front porch and then u accidently drank it later lol. I didnt really understand how it was working or why exactly the herbalist suggested it but about 3-7 days later i was feeling light and fresh and untangled. But yeah- not an every day herb for me, its very specific like you said.

Juicing cleavers sounds great! And I bet it would make an amazing poultice on the lymph as well!! Really curious about the spagyric

Thank you for sharing how long would you suggest taking this herb? I am taking it for all its uses especially the emotional/metaphysical properties as well as having developed gout and can vouch for the realational aspects you mentioned. I was reading how gouts spirituL causes can come from bitterness anger stagnation unforgiveness and cleavers was a recommended herb and so i am taking a tincture of both cleavers and red root to work on cleansing the issues of emotional pain that ultimately led to stagnancy of inner waters. Its amazing how these properties are all linked.
