I misunderstood Clement, to the extent that I made a lousy comment on one of his podcasts. I admit my wrong and can expressly say the guy is authentic, radical and SO neutral. I watched some of his interviews and his demeanor is amazing, he has a way of asking questions, Thanks Sizwe for bringing him in!!!

Clement is our National Treasure he must be protected. He makes me still have hope on impartial journalism in SA. He is starting to accumulate fame and is exponentially progressing in his career. We must pray for his protection as the opposing forces to impartial journalism start fighting back. With his style of journalism, sooner or later he will step on the toes of immense powers which will fight back ruthlessly.

No one can replace Eusebius but Clement has really etched his own path and created his own identity. I respect his candour and courage in tackling contentious topics and speaking truth to those in power. He doesn’t pull his punches and ensures people must account to the public for their actions. Eusebius would be proud!

Clement’s chat about political immaturity is a great endorsement of him as a journalist and is an indictment of the South African media landscape because politicians are used to softball questions and crumble under decent pressure. This needs to be the standard.
