I love Graham Nash. He’s a real craftsman. They could have done more, but I’m grateful for what they did.

I am a huge fan of all the CSN&Y variations and teaming up including the solo work. Graham Nash is an inspiration!

Gave fantastic show last year at Memorial Hall in Cincinnati. Exceptional talent who still looks 50 and sings like he is 25. I actually like his vocals even better now than in 1970 (well except for Carrie Anne), he is in somewhat lower key with a bit less extension.

7:35 - "I have three great kids and a beautiful wife." Today he's divorced this wife and taken up with some 30-something chippy, his kids won't talk to him and his BFF Crosby is permanently estranged. I'm in the midst of reading Nash's autobiography "Wild Tales," and we slowly learn that he's a guy who pretty much does whatever he wants and apologizes to the people he hurts afterwards. A limousine liberal who's got a better idea than you how you should live your life (he told Stills that Rita Coolidge loved Nash more than Stills and he stole her from him. Stills spit on him).

Nash's big problem seems to be that he thinks the whole world is still totally obsessed with CSN and he still seems to be riding on a sense of entitlement/cool from when CSN were at the height of their popularity 50 years ago.

Bob has proven to be an insightful questioner, even if on occasion he will mix details up. I think it was kind of Graham not to correct him because I believe he essentially knew what Bob was aiming for.

Yes neither "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" or "Ohio" is on "Deja Vu".

All four of these egos are a pain in the ass personally. But that aside, when you boil it down to talent, it is clearly STILLS and YOUNG that blow the other two out of the water…..just like in the Springfield….
@bodhiheeren
@bodhiheeren Жыл бұрын
That is ofc a totally subjective statement. Stills and Young are ofc better lead guitar players than the other two. Are they also better song writers or singers. Well not necessarily in my book.

that is just your fan boy opinion Crosby and Nash made much better records without stills and young. and with the section guys Lindley, Kortchmar, kunkel and doerge

I suppose there is no reason for false modesty, but Nash has aways talked about how special he is with a straight face. What's interesting to me is that this interview is being done after a reunion album that probably nobody remembers. CSN (and sometimes Y) is really only remembered for their late 60s and early 70s albums that are truly great -- but after that "meh".

Its sad that just in the last few years Nash and Crosby are feuding, and it seems like its permanent, and i guess Neil is involved too. Maybe it started with something Crosby said about Neil and his new relationship, after his separation, from his wife, not sure, and Nash reacted very badly. I think to what Crosby said. only Probably it was all over reaction. Obviously listening here Nash and Crosby have gotten over more serious problems. Now they are old men, lucky to have overcome their crazy rock lifestyles and drugs and appreciate their golden years. They were a group beloved by their generation, so its sad that now whats left only of their brotherhood besides the music is just bitterness

This interview might be poignant if Graham Nash was ever involved in rock and roll. I consider his entire discography to be soft rock elevator music.

My God, vicar, you're blessed with divine perception. The elevator and the supermarket both. How stoned would you have to be to green light "Marrakesh Express" as a featured tune on your debut album? Dreadful, soulless music by all save Stephen.

Crosby Stills and Nash, Deja Vu, CSN and Daylight Again were the only listenable albums by this group. Nash and Crosby and Wind on the Water and Stephen Stills were the other decent albums. That's it.

No, American Dream is great. And Nash’s stuff on that is fantastic (Soldier of Peace). Only dog was Stills’ ‘Driving Thunder’. But he made up for it with ‘That Girl’, a spectacular vocal that perhaps was the last truly great vocal of his career aside from ‘Treetop Flyer’ Also, ALL of Stills solo stuff and Manassas through 1976 Illegal Stills is terrific. Except They did him a disservice with the Stephen Stills live record release - never understood how they could release that when just a few years earlier he was singing so much better live.

That's NOT it. Several other Outstanding & really Excellent records came after "Deja Vu". 1. Crosby's SUPERB Initial solo album, "If I could only remember my name"; 2. Stephen Stills' truly Magnificent record: "Manassas" & if you're NOT Familiar with this record, the Personnel Still's lined-up to play & Record this with him is nothing short of Staggering!! I'm not kidding!! 3. Neil Young's SUPERB "Harvest". 4. Crosby & Nash's Live album; simply title "Crosby & Nash--Live".
