Than you for this very informative and to-the-point video. I have seen many different videos on the topic (using Autel TS508), but your video was mych more to the point ant easy to understand. Much appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you for your comment about the fact that the sensors can't be programmed above 10 PSI. I've already installed new sensors and aired up the tires prior to attempting to program them, which failed. I'll remove the air from the tires and will try again.
@CleverFix6 ай бұрын
I did that one time too. I jacked up the car and removed the valve stem core to take the air out, then programmed it, and re-inflated. You have to hold the tool REALLY close to the stem to get it to work. It took a few tries, but it worked.
@CleverFix6 ай бұрын
I think the 10PSI was meant as a security feature, so somebody with the tool can't re-program your sensors easily.

That was a great demonstration 👍.

Thanks, I try my best. And thanks for watching.

I have fitted and put air in the tyre. Since I did not know that I had to program first. Any way to be able to program without removing?
@CleverFixАй бұрын
The wheel actually doesn't need to be removed. I jacked up the car and let the air out of the wheel, with the wheel off the ground, then programmed it, and re-inflated. You have to hold the tool REALLY close to the stem to get it to work. It took a few tries, but it worked.

I tried to do that, and I went for the “Auto create” mode, it programmed the sensor but it’s still not displaying the tyre pressed on the dashboard (VW Passat CC), so I’m not sure if its because of the ID of the old sensor, I will and copy it and transfer to the Autel sensor and see if that works
@michaelnante6043Ай бұрын
I had the old one in the car when I was driving so maybe it was detecting the old one instead of the new one I’m not sure
@CleverFixАй бұрын
@@michaelnante6043 Auto Create assigns random IDs to the sensors. The ID stored in the ECU must match the the sensor ID. Copy by OBD will copy the correct ID from the ECU into the Autel sensor. If the old sensor is still available, Copy by Activation can also be done.
@CleverFixАй бұрын
@@michaelnante6043 Don't keep the old sensor in the car, it will definitely interfere. But "Auto Create" is to make random IDs.. unless you program those IDs in the ECU after, they will not work.

What’s the process for a single sensor instead of a set of 4 programming ?
@CleverFixАй бұрын
I actually do show a single sensor in the video.. there is no requirement to do 4 at once.
@CleverFixАй бұрын
If you're referring to the four sensor IDs shown by the tool, that's how it works. It has to read all four through the OBD from the car, and then it shows them all the time. But, a single one has to be selected to program it. If the car is not present to read the existing IDs through the OBD, the only way to do a 'single' one, would be 'Copy by Activation' which copies the ID from an existing sensor, or Manually Input the ID.

I have 2 sets of tires for my car. Would I be able to copy the sensors from one, program them to the new tires and then not need to relearn the sensors when I swap tires? 2016 Subaru Outback. Thanks.
@CleverFixАй бұрын
Yes, the Autel sensors can copy existing sensors and the vehicle won't know the difference, as long as the new sensors go in the exact same wheel position as the old ones. If the wheels are rotated, the vehicle may need re-learning, depending on the vehicle. I'm not sure about the 2016 Outback.
@dh61957Ай бұрын
@@CleverFix thanks. The 2016 Outback only has a tire low pressure symbol on the dash so it doesn't care what position they're in.

Can the sensor id be recreated once written? Or overwritten and new id generated as in a reflash?
@CleverFix3 ай бұрын
A new ID can be re-flashed again after it's written the first time, yes. This only works on Autel sensors though, OEM sensors have one fixed ID.
@CleverFix3 ай бұрын
It will only allow flashing when it's below 10PSI though, so if it's installed and the tire is inflated, it won't allow it.

Hey bud.. how do I delete the old sensors ids from ecu....? Help please
@CleverFixАй бұрын
See my programming video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3WToIitftZ1hJY The procedure is to override the IDs from the ECU with new ones, I don't think it's possible to 'delete' them. In that video I scan the wheels, then connect to the car through the OBD port. The tool allows pushing the new IDs (that were just scanned) to the car if they don't match. Vice versa can also be done, the IDs the car has already programmed, can be copied into Autel MX Sensors.

Once buying the programming tool will the device need to be updated on autels website ? Or do they come programmed depending on buyer ?
@CleverFix8 ай бұрын
I didn't update mine at all, since it's an older car. It comes pre-programmed with a lot of car Makes and Models, but if you need the latest, then yes you will have to update it with the Autel software.
