I have started the no spending challenge since January. Spending on only essential items like food. I deleted my card from Amazon to avoid being tempted. This advice was given by another money finance vloggers. Really loving these money saving tips.

I have done no spend for most of my working life and I break it every 3rd or 4th month. This has really helped my husband and I have a wedding that we dreamt of debt free, being able to invest and help out when there is great need. We still a long way to attaining our long term financial goals but this lifestyle has contributed so much to the progress we have thus far. It has also helped us to be more content and not take anything we have for granted.

Going to put myself on one. Back in October/ November, I put myself on a no eating out challenge (I used to spend a lot of money at restaurants). I was very successful with it. My only promise to myself was that I could eat out if someone else paid for it. It almost worked like a manifestation, and I received two free meals during that time. I would like to put myself back on that challenge, and also add another no spend challenge, like for Amazon. I am currently using the cash envelope system, which is forcing me to save much more money. Now, I can see where my money is going each month.

Since February has 28 days, I plan to spend only 7 out of 28 days. It is called the 21-day spending fast. I can tell you that it requires a lot of planning.

Thanks for this video. Though I’m 6 months late to the party but I’m starting my no spend challenge from September till end of the year (4 months) first time doing this. Desperate times call for desperate measures 😂 I’ve been wanting to save for buying my house. It’s been 1 step forward 10 steps backward but that stop from 1st of September I will come back here and provide my update.

I am doing a no spend May. I am doing it to reset my spending habits, add to my emergency fund and to adjust for a smaller paycheque because I have had no overtime lately. I broke it on the 5th because I had to buy a garden tool for my neighbour to replace the one my grandson broke. I have done many no spend challenges but only managed to go a whole month once. The title of my no spend challenge is: Aggregation of Marginal Gains.

Recently completed one in January and it went well! Going to continue into February. For me it was to not buy unnecessary items like clothing, shoes, random Amazon items. We still ate out (within reason and budget) but I tried to focus on not bringing extra items into my home and I feel like trying to do this for the rest of quarter 1 of 2022!

I rarely buy something the first time I see it. I usually forget about it. If I’m still interested I wait for it to be on sale. I don’t shop online.

How can a mother of 4 children participate in a no spend challenge?
@danmeck5978 Жыл бұрын
Learning the word No. Get them involved too and make them understand that if we all spend less on unnecessary items now, then we can afford the really nice in a few months time. Make it a fun process. Give them each a peice of paper with 30 squares on it. For each day they do ask for bought snacks, toys etc they get to colour in a box. At the end of the month they get to have a treat/item of their choice for under £15 each.
