Why Rockstar Sucks At Making Online Games

Hello people of the Internet! In this video, I talk about how Rockstar has fallen from their golden throne of gaming CUTENESS, in terms of how gamers see them. This is mainly due to their GREED when it comes to their online games, and the general lack of quality.
Both GTA V Online and Red Dead Redemption 2 online are severely lacking in the fun department in my opinion, and I think I know why.

I remember restarting with a new character online and I had to go through the tutorial level. One of the tutorials is to buy new clothes from the cheapest store. Simple enough. The problem is that I don't remember clothes being hundreds of thousands of dollars just to get the most cheapest looking clothes in the hood area. I don't understand what happened.

Well this is what happened: what happened was that many, several hackers came into the game and started giving free money to random people, including me. I still remember that time when I was given 25 million bucks. This went on for months until R* realized that everyone was rich so their response was to increase the prices on everything, all thanks to the hyper inflation caused by money-giving hackers. It all went south from there.

Max Payne 3 multiplayer was awesome. Had some of the best online shooting mechanics that still can't be matched to this day. If first person shooter characters moved like that it would be awesome.

I would be fine with RDR2 gold if it was an optional thing, but they make some items gold only, which is actual trash. And it doesn't help that the grind for gold is so long. 36 matches for not even half of the gold I need for about anything that requires it. If the gold was either easier to get or cheaper on gold prices, I might be fine, but restricting items to gold only ruins it.

Do that two times and you can afford almost anything in the game besides the top tier vehicles. The casino heist pays 2 mil. Get a friend and do it two times, thats around 2.5 mil for you.

Despite that limited Hardware excuse. Somehow they made Red Dead 2 look drop dead gorgeous on consoles. Is almost as if they're capable of using the hardware to their advantage but choose not to. You know why Red Dead 2 was such a priority for them? Because the only way Red Dead 2 was going to sell, you actually had to feel good playing it. I'm talkin Gunplay, sound, atmosphere, animals, environments, NPC interactions, even down to all the handcraft animations that you do picking up items for God's sake. Attention to details, even the smallest ones makes games more in depth. But hey at least GTA V has flying motorcycles...

in all fairness the clip from the repo mission isn't as bad as you make it out to be- you can't ram your way out of the blob of RVs but you're supposed to drive them out of the way in order like a mini puzzle game. early on when i had to grind contact missions to make money i figured out you only had to move two cars out of the way and then you could maneuver the brickade just right to get it out as quickly as possible but overall youre not wrong, gtao is a really shitty grind. i rely on occasionally running into moneydroppers to keep my wallet full

Hey all! I just wanted to clear some things up, just in case there are some misconceptions. 1. I think that GTA Online has come a LONG way, and is WAY better than it was at the start. Way more content has been added, but I just feel Rockstar went a little TOO hard on just adding cars. We could've done with more updates like the CEO businesses, the biker gang stuff, and the Casino update. My main point in the video, is that the PRICES and the GRIND has gotten much steeper. 2. I still think you can have a blast with both GTA Online and RDR Online, in fact, there's a new update coming to RDR2 that is a big step in the right direction. It's new things to actually DO! Bounty hunting (Finally), Trading (More hunting, in case you weren't sick of that) and Collector (Sounds hot). 3. And of course, this is MY OPINION! I would love to hear yours! Also, if anyone does the #HUNTERCHALLENGE by starting a new character and saving up to buy the Hunter helicopter, actually let me know how that goes, I'm curious!

6:25 ah yes another complaint of mine Already complained about there aimbot but my fucking god when you spawn in the worst spot after dying sucks and I've even had to be careful of certain locations because its where enemies repeatedly spawn... Did a Merriweather dispatch and looked over to my right to see 2 guys come out of nowhere that i killed Started getting shot at again and killed ANOTHER 2 guys to my left Died the 3rd time when i watched them literally spawn there... fam I do, I played from the start, when it was released. I believed it was so great, and as critikal said I used to grind for a supercar. When heists came around God damn I was excited, I believed it was *E P I C* (A bit of gamer terminology for you there) then came the griefers... it became so annoying due to that repulsive bike, gonna be honest I bought one for travelling and doing the odd job, then the mkII came... it was so frustrating working around those, they have countermeasures so even if you are able to lock on to a mk 2 they can just brush it off. i've actually got into gta online recently. Yes everything you said is 100% accurate, but i've got a hell of a lot of free time and not many other games to play so grinding businesses and heists is oddly fun for me ( as long as its not the same business over and over even though they all function the same exact way) it is shitty though how rockstar has abandoned single player dlc's and gone towards making everything way overpriced.

This video has a lot of incorrect information regarding the current state of GTA Online: -Contact missions are worth it only during 2x$ events. You get 30-40k every 10-15 minutes. Races can give you over 100k if there's a 2x$ event and you reach 1st place on a full lobby. I agree that the standard payment is way too little of a reward, though. -You're playing that RV trailer mission incorrectly. You can push both RVs blocking yours using the Brickade (if you do it properly) or have each player take an RV and move them all at the same time. You only need to move three RVs, and can do it fairly quickly (even solo). -The Vehicle Cargo source missions are usually around 3-4 miles long, sometimes less than that (not as long as you claimed them to be) and the cars you get aren't random. You need to have 10 Standard and 10 Medium Range (or 20, but I think that you only need 10) cars and every single car after that will be Top Range. Also, selling four cars (with friends) earns you 400k. Sell four Top Range cars, source four more, sell them again. Rinse and repeat. It's an easy 800k per hour (600-700k, if you subtract the damage done to the cars, Ghost Organization and all of that stuff). Your friends won't be paid much to help you, though. -You can use Ghost Organization during car selling missions to not get griefed. -If you have three MC businesses and a Bunker, you can make around 2 million dollars per day (if you leave your PC/console on for like 6 or 7 hours). This is without an event, and you can do other stuff in real life while you wait for the businesses to fill up. I made 2 million dollars per day with just the Bunker during the 2x$ Bunker and Gunrunning event we had recently. -For new players: helping on MC missions gives you 30k for not doing much. Headhunter earns you 20k. Each Client Job earns you 30k. You should buy stuff like the CEO Office and businesses while they're on sale. - If making money's an issue, there are talented KZbinrs like TheProfessional and Tylarious that have excellent tutorials on how to earn money, solo or not. Check them out.

I agree with you when it comes to a lot of it on GTA online, as a grinder myself, but saying people only do it to buy super cars is dumb, there are so many businesses and waaaay more useful vehicles to buy that do more than a disappointing supercar. If that was why you grinded don’t assume the reason of everyone else, I personally do it because I find the missions fun (when mixing them not doing the same over and over) and making money makes me feel accomplished. Also saying each update “only added new cars and clothes” is untrue, the early ones did but future ones added heists (pretty much more enthralling, fun and better paying contact missions), businesses, vehicles (shit like the terrorbyte that isn’t a supercar), and more. Gta Online is no where near perfect especially how Rockstar shows shark cards down our throats like my uncles (BLEEP) in my mouth when I was 9. Mainly because they encourage and enable griefing by making it so easy.

The only online mode from Rockstar that I truly enjoyed was GTA IV’s online mode. Because unlike GTA Online, they didn’t punish you for going around and causing chaos. There was no bounty or mental state system implemented to discourage players from killing NPCs or stealing cars. They also had a variety of fun modes, and even an option to disable wanted levels, just to allow players even more freedom.
