Cook the meals, like chili, etc., then freeze meal sized leftovers, then you’ll have lots of days when you don’t have to cook. Not the pasta, just freeze the leftover sauce and cook the pasta fresh.
@tamaraemmerik88243 жыл бұрын
Actually, did you know that when you freeze the pasta and eat it, of has less calorie..so you maybe feel less guilty eating pasta if you don't like to eat it because of the calories.. I didn't know this but it is tested and there really is a difference in the calories🤷🏼♀️. I thought it is great.. I freeze pasta leftovers all the time
@judithgreenwood62473 жыл бұрын
I know that, and it applies to rice as well. I’m not worried about calories, and if I were I’d eat less pasta, because I don’t like what happens to it when the cell walls are burst by freezing. Pasta that sits in sauce will continue to absorb moisture, and it will not be al dente.
@tamaraemmerik88243 жыл бұрын
@@judithgreenwood6247 yeah that is true, I like the texture of fresh pasta better then when it has been frozen. But sonwtimws I like to have an easy meal that was left over from cooking to much instead of cooking pasta again. Maybe I should should just freeze the sauce, and cook meal size portions of pasta each time;)👍🏻
@judithgreenwood62473 жыл бұрын
@@tamaraemmerik8824 i think you’ll enjoy it more. When you feel pressed for time, use a pasta that takes less cooking time. Small egg noodles, for instance. Taglierini instead of tagliatelle. Leftover pasta can be used, though. A frittata made with pasta is good, as long as the pasta hasn’t been stored in liquids. Anyway, ciao from Italy!

@nataliebitar3 жыл бұрын
@@Merle-vz7tg to be honest the diet looks really nice and healthy. You definitely get the recommended amount of veggies every day which is really hard for a lot of people including myself. The healthy fats as avocado, peanut butter, seeds, nut etc. is a good choice 👍🏻 What I like about this, is that it is not a strict diet, because strict diets are not healthy and make you give up easily. It was great to see that there were some digestive cookies with chocolate in this diet because it’s okay to eat sweets and unhealthy calories once in a while, and the most important to remember here is the portion size of course. Whole grain products are so important, because it doesn’t affect the blood sugar so much and reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes and heart diseases. I never really used to eat anything whole grain until I started college. I am definitely going to try this diet or try something very similar to it. This is a very balanced diet, which is always recommended for people who wants to start dieting☺️ I hope this comment helped, I never comment on KZbin so this is so weird for me😂 Have a nice day❤️

hey taz! i really suggest investing into a slow cooker, they’re really good for people who don’t like cooking (me) because you just throw all the ingredients in the pot in the morning and it cooks throughout the day! i find it always tastes better too, you can make loads of dishes like spagbol, chilli, greek lamb stew with orzo and much more x

Btw, intuitive eating isn't just "eat what you want whenever you want". You can roughly plan your meals and focus on a balanced diet and still eat intuitively
@caitlin3293 жыл бұрын
Waiting until you're starving before you eat is also definitely not eating intuitively !
@ashleythomas4153 жыл бұрын
I was going to comment the same thing! Intuitive eating is still eating mindfully of how you are fueling your body eg did that meal give me energy? Make me feel satisfied?
@jadekaanik21073 жыл бұрын
Yes! You have to intuitively feel what your body likes and does not like, and what makes you feel energetic and healthy. Eating excess sugar and processed foods whenever you feel like it is definitely not intuitive eating. Gotta have some dicipline too!!

Finally!!! an influencer that do the job on positively influence eating choices. As a dietitian I support what you are doing Taz. Besides it was pretty interesting to hear your honest true comments in terms of food choices. This definitely gives an insight in terms of nutritional plans. Kudos! I'm from Mexico and there are not nutritional plans as there are in the UK, the guidance is set mainly in following the "eat well plate" which works as a traffic light. Green for vegetables and fruits; Yellow for cereals; and Red for pulses and animal food products. Mainly that is because diets in a way need to fit into the individuals' needs. Hence, they are usually customised. However, in the US I believe you can find the guidance in the USDA food and nutrition services. They also have myplate and I believe you can find recipes there.

I would recommend Hello Fresh to you. You have different recipes you pick from each week, you decide how many days you want each week and if you want extra meals. You can decide to pauze if you want to skip a week or several. The food gets delivered to your door, everything is in the box (not salt, pepper, oil and such). The recipes are in the box and you can keep them if you like them want to re-create them later. And it's also not super expensive! (at least not here in Netherlands, a bit more expensive than buying it in the store yourself but for us the difference is not huge. Cost about 56 euros for each week, 5 dishes for 2 people + toddler) It is a super handy service!

As a Dane i'm so disapointet you don't like rise pudding. It is all moste a national treasure here in Denmark. A few tips on how to serve it. It's supposed to be served hot with sugar and cinnamon, and a teaspoon of butter on top. Healthy it is not, but so delicious. Seach "Risengrød" = rice putting in danish

I started shaking my head the minute you held up the can of rice pudding. Where I grew up in the States it's basically rice cooked in that four-letter word - milk - with sugar and cinnamon and a few other spices in that family. You really have to like creamy milk-based food to like that. Plus, out of a can I doubt I'd even like it and I love rice pudding.
@jennetscarborough51453 жыл бұрын
Have you ever been tested for ADHD? I haven't watched all your videos, but in those I've seen, many of your comments really resonated (executive function difficulties in this one). May I recommend that you top the peanut butter toast with sliced tomato and freshly ground black pepper and salt? The juiciness of the tomato counteracts the claggy stickiness of the peanut butter. Peanut butter toast also works well topped with sliced banana and salt.
