Trucks are all hit and miss. It’s the Driver that makes all the difference. I’m not a huge fan of Matco tools but my local driver is an awsome guy. Last time I called, he met me at an ice cream shop and bought all of my kids ice cream before we went on the truck. I know it’s all about making a sale but this small gesture keeps me buying tools from him. I’m sure he could survive without my small purchases but he is always appreciative and willing to meet me.

A few years ago a flea market, I bought a bunch of old Mac sockets from a local mechanic. He'd retired and already sold his shop. They were all brand new and still sealed up. I got them cheap and I'm not worried about a warranty. What really impressed me about this video is that they warranty drill bits of ANY size, even broken ones. I don't have a professional shop, so I don't have tool trucks stopping by. However, I've always considered drill bits consumables. I do have a Drill Doctor and I use it often but, there's only so much that it can do.

@ClientGraphics5 жыл бұрын
The letter M 1/4, X 3/8, and V 1/2 at least get the drive size. I don't recall but some of the older sockets were like 3 numbers like you mentioned rather than the number of points. Some were the single drilled out detent for the ball while the newer sockets have the 4 oval grinds. All just changes in manufacturing over time and attempts to streamline part numbers.
