I knew Cliff fields right up until his death and I think Cliff would beat him. Close but Cliff was a monster off a guy and was unusually strong. I visited Cliff a lot when he was admitted to the old psychiatric asylum in Arlsey Fairfield Hospital in 1994 plus other admissions. He spoke a lot about you Ray and at the time I didn’t really know who you was as you was. He mentioned Jimmy Tippet as boss man. He always went in to get sober. Sadly he died too young. Cliff would tell me it was him or Ray doing the fighting and Jimmy Tippett getting his gun out or fighting himself. Time flies so fast. Love the new edit photos of Paddy & Peter Kay on the door as bouncers 😂

Mc Alinden is from Newry county Down, he would have been seen around Belfast in later years: Ireland at that time had no boxing backers, if he had of came around a little bit later, when a few quid and marketing was about, he could have went far....
