Note that the QT1 is only for temporary testing of mains equipment and is not an excuse to cut plugs off leads and use every day as this would be unsafe, the HP9800 is shipped with speaker terminals fitted though I removed them prior to filming as I felt them to be unsafe and they fouled the flex on UK plugs.
I also mention my immense dislike of the UK's Border Force (who dislike me and have done since August) after they slapped a Customs charge on the HOPI, and Scarborough Borough Council Traffic wardens who operate in the Richmondshire district after I was ticketed for legitimate use of a loading bay as part of my job for the second time, both organisations forced me to spend money I didn't want to spend.
The HOPI is also supplied with a lamp holder fitted with one of those dodgy 2-pin Chinese plugs, an Edison screw type, with two adaptors to Small Edison screw and GU10 respectively, and a set of wires, presumably for shoving into the dodgy speaker terminal connection fitted as standard, that are terminated with a bi-pin connector on each set and are certainly in no way rated for mains use.
