This song is sung in French. One of 12 different languages that he has sung songs in. Dimash is a phenomenon from Kazakhstan. He started singing lessons at 5 years old and was found to have perfect pitch. He is University educated with degrees in classical and opera, another in contemporary music, pop and jazz, was a major in Vogel technique. He also completed a Broadway musical master class. On June 18th, 2020 he completed his masters specializing in composition and receiving his masters with honours having achieved the maximum score of 100%. He has since started his PhD. He currently has a vocal range of over 6 octaves but he is humbly dismissive of this astounding fact and stresses that it is not the amount of both arrange you have but in fact what you do with it. He has won many prestigious awards and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He has performed songs in 12 different languages. He speaks fluent Russian and Kazakh, some Chinese and is pretty good in English and Is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a difficult language to learn but he's doing well with it. At 22 he was invited as a wild card to participate in a Chinese singing show for professional singers. The show catapulted him to relative stardom worldwide and he became a pop superstar in China. He is also famous in Russia for his neoclassical work with famous Russian/Ukrainian composer and arranger Igor Krutoy who came out of retirement to collaborate with Dimash. He has written songs for Dimash and arranged previously composed music specifically for Dimash. He is often at the piano for many of Dimash's performances. Dimash has since introduced pop songs in Russia as well. Is vocals range from a rich low baritone to extremely high soprano notes. On at least one occasion he has Hit a D8 in whistle tone for 5 seconds with vibrato. He was on a solo world tour when the pandemic struck. His concerts are usually about 3 hours with an eclectic mix of vocal styles and genres. He was born into a musical family and both of his parents are famous singers and musicians in Kazakhstan, his mother being an operatic soprano. He was offered a position in the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turn this position down to pursue his own path in neoclassical and contemporary music. He's a multi-instrumentalist, competent on 8 instruments including piano, drums and the native Turk/Kazakhstan two-stringed instrument called a dombra. As of May 24th, 2021 he will celebrate his 27th birthday. He is most widely known through his live performances that has released several albums the first one going platinum in 37 seconds and triple platinum in less than an hour. It has been recognized that his high notes are not whistle tones but head voice. Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it is spectacular. He has many millions of fans worldwide which he has designated his "Dears" He is soft spoken, polite, respectful, elegant and classy, also extremely humble and seldom goes without mentioning his love of country and its history. “ Sinful Passion “ will blow your mind -then every thing else he does . He was 22 here and will be 27 in May . The lyrics of SOS are heart wrenching. Every song he sings is different. Low register , middle and high are en point. Most of us in the western world love his Kazakh songs . He always sings a song he has to perform again differently each time . The man just ups himself . Someone said “ the only vocalist better than Dimash is Dimash in the future “.. Gloria Wu’s channel has English subs . We “ Dears” ( fans ) literally know the back story to every song he sings . He can also rock , rap , get funky , go “ traditional” and sings in many languages. He’s working hard on his English and we love his accent . He is doing quite well. He’s a mega philanthropist and truly humble . His music videos are first rate . He’s been coming in at #1 on MTV’s “ Friday Live Stream “. He’s a multi instrumentalist as well . It’s really nice to see artists who can play , sing , dance and own the stage . My generation had awesome bands and artists . Then when digitalized beats and auto tune came along -a lot of singers ( who sampled my generations music and had dubbed singers ) began a rather flat time in the industry. The industry pushed much younger people into cookie cutter “ genres “ and sounds that sounded the same . Low investment, hastily written lyrics and a high return . I think it’s why newer artists and musicians are by passing the industry and making it via social media . They are succeeding too! Dimash will not allow the industry to pigeon hole him . He can do great justice to Freddie Mercury, MJ, stated he listened to Eminem and has a billionaire maestro writing just for him now . Imho -skill wise the best vocalist in 100 years ( we won’t know bc we don’t have recording earlier than that ). This young man is also getting his Ph.D in music . He never stopped becoming educated. He writes , composes , is now directing and it seems taking some acting roles ( per his videos ). He’s incredibly humble . His back up singers are gifted as well . He will always pay homage to all on stage . He did not want to be stuck in opera bc he likes all genres . Jazz also is in his blood . 6’3” tall . You’ll find many of us fans have grown to know each other world wide and we are family . * please be advised there are always the fringe who can be rude and Dimash is definitely not accepting of such behavior. He’s a man of peace and wants the world to unite . The majority ( vast majority) of us “ Dears “ are good and decent people . Because of this young man we want to be even better. On the chance one of the “ fringe “ says something crudely -definitely not who we are . It’s the net . You know how that goes. It was significantly less than in previous Fridays . Dears from Eastern part of planet have difficulties with very uncomfortable time of voting - from the middle of the night to very early daybreak . Most of eastern fans are working and after hard week falk asleep during voting. Dimash is the best singer on this planet or any other. His unusually wide range from Tenor to Soprano has garnered him the nicknames Alien, Angel, Dolphin among others. The competition was for established professional artist in China (Dimash was unknown at this time). The audience, which were made up of professional artists, were the judges. Dimash, from Kazakhstan, was invited as a wildcard to compete. He was the first one to perform. You just witnessed his performance. Now that you get the entirety of Dimash's position, you can see that even as nervous as he had to be, he was a beast. Truly the GOAT.
