The truly incredible thing about AC/DC is that everybody thought the had reached their end when Bon Scott died. He was irreplaceable. They hired Brian Johnson and gave us Back in Black. Genius. That's resilience in the face of heartbreaking adversity.

The phrase "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" originally came from a 1962 cartoon, Beany and Cecil, the motto of the resident villain, Dishonest John.

Thanks for your reaction! I agree with the other comments about checking out their song, "Big Balls". Since you are into lyrics you would really enjoy the cleverness of what that song is really about but it has a double meaning.

"Big Balls", and "Whole lotta Rosie" are 2 other hilarious songs. Also, AC/DC has had 2 different lead singers, so you might notice their earlier songs sound different than their later ones. I was a kid when "Big Balls" came out, and my sister's friend played it for her, and of course as the annoying little brother I was listening in.

Thank god my brother was six years older than me, so I got the classical music to the Beatles from my parents and Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Mötley Crüe, Sex Pistols and the rest from my brother. Techno/rave/psy/eurodance with the times and early rap from a friend. And do listen the whole album! Actually go for whole discography at least until Ballbreaker.

This album was released in 1976 in Australia, but never got a big pressing outside of there and a little in the UK. In 1979, when HIGHWAY TO HELL was released to world wide appeal, their prior catalog was re-released in the US (4 albums at once). To massive success. This was one of my top songs to sing with a local band, love Bon Scott.

I grew up seeing them live so many times as a teenager in Melbourne Australia in the 70’s with the one and only Bon Scott!! He was an amazing frontman, so much charisma and worked the crowd. We all knew even then that they were special!! It was a great time for live music in Australia! Try Whole Lotta Rosie but only with Bon singing. He wrote it about a personal experience he had. it’s a cracker!!
