I do agree it was powerful, but it didn't end responding to the man's true issue: he does believe in a heaven and hell, he just can't believe there is any way Hitler could get into heaven (so the crux of the disagreement is a matter of conditions, not of the existence of something) . Instead of responding to this crucial point, and giving a proper justification, Cliffe goes on a rant about the atheistic POV, even though the gentleman doesn't clearly stated he wasn't an atheist. I'm sorry but with all due respect, Cliffe didn't honor his interlocutor, at least not this time. There are ways to defend the Christian POV about justification here, and justification is actually exactly what ended up tearing the catholic church in pieces around Luther's time. This is not a trivial issue and merits a proper response.
@WatZen-r9j3 ай бұрын
@@alexandresavardo yeah I need some proper closure too. Do you have any idea where I can find a continuation?
@alexandresavardo3 ай бұрын
@@WatZen-r9j if you are looking for a single short video that can provide a nuanced and insightful closure, I suggest ''Tough questions - is Hitler in Heaven'' by Reverend Anne Beverley. But again, the question of justification is extremely deep and its study can be quite fulfilling to a curious spirit. Soteriology is the discipline that studies the different doctrines of salvation. If you want to dig deeper on this I suggest Soteriology101, which I found realistic and nuanced on the matter. Hope this helps.

Funnily enough, I have thought about that example that he brought up about the Evil Mustache man. It's possibly one of the ultimate tests to see how much someone wants the sinner to pay rather than forgive. Forgiving someone, and I mean truly forgiving someone, is very hard if they caused a lot of personal damage. It really is a miracle if someone that damaged truly repents. It probably is a bigger miracle for those who really want to see that person burn to let it go. Seriously, that question is a major test.
@LartinBeats-rg6pf8 ай бұрын
Yes, if Hitler did really repent, he really would go to heaven. That's why being a Christian is so hard, because we have to learn to forgive our agressors. But that's consistent with the teaching of jesus. You can't fight hate with hate. But we know God is just, we have to have faith and let him judge. The reason we can't judge is because we aren't perfect. But God takes the weight off us

Thank you God for strong men in the faith! I always find joy in the fervent defense of God, that Cliff shows. Side note: The young man's idea about "if Hitler could get into heaven, he wouldn't want to be with a God who could allow that" is such a backwards idea of grace. It's because of God and Jesus's sacrifice on the cross that men JUST LIKE HITLER or WORSE could be reconciled to God! That God could forgive someone so sinful is a beautiful example of his love for us and care for our souls. I pray that young man sees this understanding at some point.

Whats even Crazier is to is that Morality Defined are principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad behavior. What they are defining Morality is As Laws, and Guess what Laws don't care about you feelings, when a Law is placed a Law doesn't care wither you think its wrong or you think its write its there and you have to obey it if not there are Consequences and Punishments. So what Moral Relatives are saying is "I feel like this is wrong and he feels like this is write" No Laws don't care about your feeling even if the a rapist thought that raping was right that doesn't make it right to rape. So Raping is always wrong no matter the persons feelings Murdering Someone for no reason is wrong no matter the persons feeling Adultery is always wrong no matter the persons feeling on the matter. Masturbation's Is always wrong I mean even drains you physically Raping Animals is always wrong no matter if you think your a cat or dogs its wrong. This things are wrong wither you think they are good or bad because why? Laws Don't care about Feelings laws are placed for people own best interest wither they like it or not and because its completely wrong and 100% never justified. out of love laws are placed because they protect you form doing what is not wise to do and to do what is wise.

I've heard that there's no such thing as rape before. I mean few but some, one them was a congressman. What we'd think don't matter, it's what God's saying so.

Sorry to the Jewish brother about his uncle. To go through such a horrible, real-life nightmare, burying his own grave. If Hitler is in heaven and I'm in hell b/c I had bad thoughts I didn't repent from LoL The Jewish brother's uncle's death was and is not in vain. We have learned, from this time in history, the evil that is within and amongst us. We move forward, hopefully, never to repeat such an atrocity, and by remembering those who suffered as well. What Cliffe did in this video was trivialize the suffering of the uncle, simply b/c we don't subscribe to the idea of Hitler possibly repenting and being in heaven. B/c if he is in heaven, this would mean the suffering is justified. "Nevermind the suffering Jews went through, look how merciful and wonderful god is to forgive a sinner like Hitler."
@gingercake09078 ай бұрын
Cliff didn’t trivialize the uncles death. Cliff is saying the relative moralism of Hitler and his regime caused the murder and death of his uncle. Hitler thought it was justifiable to kill anyone that didn’t fit his idea of a master race of people. Hitler played at being God and what a human disaster. Moral relativism says what I decide to do is right even if it destroys other people. Moral relativism is idolatry, man worshiping himself.

I don't often comment, but I get where the last guy is coming from, in a way. It'd be a tough pill to swallow to hear that there's a possibility that someone who you view as an absolute monster (Adolf Hitler, Stalin, Mass Murderers, Thieves, the whole disgusting lot.) might make it into heaven if they truly feel bad and repent of what they did. It's tough to know that the guy who hurt your family member or friend can make it. and it hurts more to know that people who you thought were good can't make it. It's a tough pill to swallow on all sides. But the truth is, it's a necessary one. we can only see the outside and hear what others tell us, or read in the papers or see on the news. we're not the ones who can see hearts and minds. We're ultimately not the ones who are in the judge's chair. God, the one who can see the actions, hear the words, read the heart and mind, can and will be the only judge. Not here to preach, cuz lord knows i don't go to church enough, but just wanted to share that i understood.

🤔 Hmm is your "opinion" with regards the "right" God subjective or objective?? Can we ground morality in "any" God or just the particular one YOU determined is the "right" one out of the many thousands man has invented ?? If your answer is the latter then in actuality its *YOU* and YOUR SUBJECTIVE OPINION that is determining morality dear. if your answer is the former, then asserting objectivity to any moral claim based upon a "God" becomes a completely vacuous useless concept 👍 The claim that theistic morality is somehow "objective" is ridiculous. Theists are merely substituting their own subjective moral standards with the morals standards of the god they subjectively determine represents the "correct objective" morality. 🙄🤔

I pray her eyes were open by now. The 25 year old flawed arguments of "relative morality" that woman spoke of is just as much a dead end today as it was 25 years ago. 💜✝️💜

Inside we are all idiots. We must pray for them. Speak in love and treat them that way. We can’t save, only plant seeds by example and the way we talk.

To defend her moral relativism, the first girl said “yeah, but I have more people behind me.” So she’s not just appealing to her own opinion, then. She’s appealing to a standard. In this case, social contract theory. So she’s either confused, lying to us or lying to herself.

@@j_p_jr.487 it was not so much audible as I was watching a video or listening to music outside my head. it is very weird to explain. It was also not my thoughts, it was also not the voice of the "devil". It was clear. All I know is, after that, I cracked. As if everything I knew turned around. All I know is I was laughing/crying at the same time uncontrollably and felt this tingling sensation through my body, and a warmth. Everyone I tell thinks I went through a manic episode. All I know is, for me it changed everything.

The like bar literally has to hit 666 at some point, it isn't a sign.
