I get that sad feeling when I take an animals life. I still do it, but it does seem strange that it was alive and now it isn't because of me.

Man it's awesome that you asked about that little pang of remorse when harvesting animals. I never really asked anyone about it (call it "male bravado" or whatever). I've definitely thought a lot about it because technically I don't "need" to harvest that specific animal...I kinda chalked it up to being in a place that's so sheltered from hardship and such nowadays (unlike other places around the globe or in the not so distant past) or maybe coming down from the rush of the hunt/harvest.
