Hi folks! Here is my 2023 edit of "Fantasmic!" at Disney's Hollywood Studios. After a ton of production problems and plenty of work delays,...it's finally here! Yes,...there are a LOT of filming bugs in this one that I will eventually go back and reshoot and fix in 2024. It's not the best I can do but it will have to hold for the next year. :-(

Besides geting to hug Mickey again, this was one of the hightlights of my trip back to Disney World in March and it never gets old. The new heroes section was fantastic and Mickey appearing at the top of the mountain after defeating the villlans brings the emotion every time!!!! Fantastic job!!!!

This is genuinely one of the best Fantasmic videos I’ve seen, and I’ve watched A LOT! I’ve never seen Disney World’s in person, but the Disneyland one holds a special place in my heart as one of my favorite shows. Would you ever consider doing a video like this for Disneyland?

I just watched Fantasmic 2 hours ago and It was pretty great seeing this version of the show in person. My whole theater was cheering for all the characters. So freaking awesome to end that night with a serious bang and I hope to see this show in person again in the future. 😃😃😃😃😃😃

My gosh, it’s amazing what you manage to capture and convey on camera. I’ve seen the show quite a few times since it reopened, but the detail and clarity here plus the combination of different angles is something you can’t get in person. Not that anything really compares to seeing a show in person, but I love stuff like this because of the perspective it adds. I’m a cast member at Hollywood and I can’t quite describe the insanely joyful energy in the amphitheater on November 1 (the night of the Hollywood cast preview). Fantasmic is one of those things that makes me feel like a kid again, and it was clear to me that night that this is a shared experience not only among cast members but all grown-up Disney fans. And I got to sit in the front row! I have a hilarious video clip from that night where you can hear fully-grown adults yelling and cheering on Mickey in the scene where he slays the dragon. It’s silly and cheesy but such a special memory nonetheless!

That was truly special, both the quality of the video and the multi angles. I felt like I was back at WDW watching it. Little things like seeing the joyful expressions on the cast members on the boat at the end just enhance the whole event. Well done.

One thing that always bothered me about WDW's Fantasmic was that the fireworks at the very end never seemed timed with the music. As soon as I saw there be some syncing of the fireworks to the beat in this finale, that's what sold me on this update. Far and away the best version of Fantasmic! currently showing.

As a former CM, I enjoyed being part of this show. Every CM did a phenomenal job from the performers, production, food stands and big Thumbs Ups to GUEST RELATIONS SERVICES (Custodial). My favorite parts are: Mickey intro, the Princesses & Princes dance, and Mickey outro. My heart always get excitedevery time. ❤

Great video, quality is insane! Few things, glad you were able to capture the pyro shot after the Fantasia segment, it suddenly disappeared after a few weeks of its return and hasn't returned since. Also glad you got a shot of the dragon shooting its fireball in the water. This effect has been turned off after an incident around early December. Besides that, love all the close ups on all the face characters, really shows the respective CMs into their role and even singing along! The finale was wonderful as always!!

Gas lines under the water. If you watch carefully before it ignites, you can see the water rippling from the propellant.

NGL, I lowkey miss the jump scare Ratcliffe would give the audience in the original. Hearing the entire stadium gasp and go quiet was always priceless lol. IYKYK! But the added changes were amazing to see! I especially loved the updated dragon! And seeing Mulan and Aladdin on the mountain was really interesting too! Glad they also kept Chernabog in the show!! I just wish the animation in the bubbles and some of the Monstro scenes weren't so choppy now.

The 720 preview last night was awesome. I just watched it again in 8k (4k & Dolby surround on my big screen) and you did it again Cliff, I had chills like I was there again. Your work is amazing and like no other, thank you for your efforts and documenting these shows that don't stay forever and that most peeps can barely explain let alone film. I just wish you had started back when Epcot was in its infancy, as I miss those experiences the most. I would so love to see the Kitchen Cabaret or Universe of Energy (before Ellen) filmed by you. :)

I disliked the WDW Fantasmic when I saw it my first trip after it opened in 2001 - just not as good as the Disneyland version. But seeing this with the close ups and detailed camera work makes me actually want to give show a 2nd shot. While it will never feature Captain Jack swinging from an actual pirates ship the theatrical nature of the performers brings a magic to the music that will bring me all the way from SoCal to Florida soon.

Looks great!!! Let me know if you ever need another camera angle! I know how much these take to produce as well! I'm seeing a lot of banding in the footage too so was curious what shutter you were at? I've slowly been able to filter that out:)

High shutter speeds were a big screw-up on my part. I'll reshoot this show at the end of this year and release an improved one next year. There are a dozen "bugs" in this one that I will definetely fix. The LED banding is just one of them.

Hey, it would be amazing if you could just come out to Magic Kingdom sometime before the 50th ends, and just make a 30 minute loop of the castle in its iridescent nighttime look. After the fireworks is a good time since it’s not super busy. It’s so pretty and it would be amazing. Fantastic video as always though!

Yup,...the show was dark during the pandemic and they upgraded it during that down time.
