What a great song from the early 1980's. If you weren't around back then, you really missed out. The music was absolutely amazing. It was a party 24/7. I really miss that time period. I'm sure I'm not the only one. This song was a staple at every house party you went to. It was everywhere.

We had broken up for good just an hour before, Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah. And now I'm staring at the bodies as they're dancing 'cross the floor. Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah. And then the band slowed the tempo, and the music gets you down. Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah. It was the same old song, with a melancholy sound. Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah. They don't write 'em like that anymore. They just don't write 'em like that anymore. We'd been living together for a million years, Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah. But now it feels so strange out of the atmospheres. Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah. And then the jukebox plays a song I used to know. Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah. And now I'm staring at the bodies as they're dancing so slow. Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah. They don't write 'em like that anymore. They don't write 'em like that anymore. Now I'm winding up staring at an empty glass Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah. Cause it's so easy to say that you'll forget your past. Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah. They don't write 'em like that anymore. No, they just don't write 'em like that anymore. Oh, they don't write 'em like that anymore. They just don't write 'em like that anymore. They just don't, no they don't, no no, uh-uh, They just don't write 'em like that anymore. They just don't...

Oh cool Doyle, I had no idea he wrote anything besides music/lyrics..etc. Would you by any chance happen to know the name(s) of these novels. I'm really into reading books by musicians. I just finished reading Don Felder's book "Heaven and Hell...My Life With The Eagles" and it was really awesome. If your into reading I highly suggest this book to/for you (that is if you haven't already read it), I really think you'll like it a great deal, That is, if you like the Eagles' music and would like some Bio on their back ground and some of Don's back ground as well. Again, thanks for the info here, I appreciate it. #Trish
