I knew that when I originally embarked on this adventure to reach the Shores of Gold, that we would face many challenges but the amount of new experiences I made in the process kind of blew my mind. Including finding what is, in my opinion, the most unique keg in the game!

Fun fact the trapmaker’s keg can survive a few shots from a pistol, probably to survive the traps on sailor bounty, but you can shoot it either 4 or 9 times before it explodes (I cant remember exactly I just remember emptying my pistol for the final shot). Just be careful bc when it blows up you have to restart the tall tale which is why we didn’t test more with other weapons or fire

Ah, my favorite tall tale from the original 9. This one was fun to do since the puzzles are challenging but not that challenging and it's one of the tall tale where you travel the least. Good luck Cliff if you ever want to unlock the golden curse (i won't spoil the requirement for it but you'll see soon enough how long and difficult it is to unlock)

@@CliffTheStoryGuy There is a way to speed up the process using checkpoints and having a crewmate leave before the tale's completion, allowing them to start it up again afterwards for the others to complete as many times as needed. That still means an extra two times you need to complete the tale for everyone in your crew to get the commendation, though.

I got the gold curse a long time ago, but this series makes me want to replay them all... BTW on the shores i suggest only using a guide for briggsys 10 journals. I loved the story in them and i guess part of the experience is figuring out the ancient riddles yourself. If you get stuck, of course guide.

This mission beat my hide so badly. Ran it solo and blew up the keg key TWICE, both to the traps on the way down. I always managed to avoid the floor panels, but the wall spikes seemed to get me every time. I died a good number of times to the skeleton waves as well, usually when trying to restock on food after a face-full of lead.

Ohhhhh yeah... uhhhh... about the traps at Sailor's Bounty. If you avoided the wooden patches on the ground, the traps won't activate. They're pressure plates so it'll save you the hassle.

I was looking forward to seeing how things turned out for you with this one. We actually had to do this tall tale twice because in my panic from the sounds of explosions I actually took the first keg straight toward the explosions before seeing them. With the keg exploded the Tall Tale was failed. Though we did enjoy a laugh as when we were trying to figure out the spyglass puzzles music started playing signaling a skull ship...That promptly waited for the enemy sloop that came to sink our ship to arrive before popping up from the depths and attacking the sloop. We simply sat on the cliff laughing as the skeleton ship not only chased them off, but sunk them as well. Looking forward to seeing how the last of the tall tales before the shores of gold goes. I actually had to redo the next one as well because while working on getting an angle right the game crashed on me.

Funny enough, when I did this tall tale I'd seen enough youtuber playthroughs of it(that being 2) to know that the first half of the traps are activated by a pressure plate, so I just hugged the wall and breezed through it
