I remember doing this quest. Did it with an alliance and had some shenanigans when we mixed up the skulls and spent forever figuring it out. I was also a bit surprised how easy it was to take down graymarrow, but it was fun none the less! Glad to see you making progress in this quest towards the shores of gold!

Always fun to hear that someone is a fellow Japanese student. Kanji can be hard and frustrating at times. But they can also be fun to learn. Every time you learn a new one you unlock another piece of the puzzle to understand the language. Good job making your way through the 8 tall tails leading up to the shores of gold. I loved seeing you play through these tall tails. Lastly there are a lot and I mean a lot of puzzles at the shores of gold so be prepared for one you even have to travel all around the island to solve it the Intended way so you might want to have rare thief open that’s all and good luck. Edit: also if you want the boss take less time to kill only have one person enter is chamber then the others join so he starts on way less health because he has a lot of health.

100% loved the behind the scenes as someone else who has been learning Japanese. Kanji is such a bitch to learn and I keep putting it off. Katakana and Hiragana were so quick and easy to get down only to be punched in the face by my first set of Kanji.

Nice Vid! However, if you ever do this again (which you'll have to for gold curse), my suggestion is to stop by a stronghold or 2 and stock up on gunpowder barrels instead of Disney sticks. With how long he talks for, all you have to do is put the explosives where the voice is (that's where he spawns), and once he finally stops talking and spawns, one blunderbomb is all it takes!

Oh thank heavens for checkpoints, but also these old tall tales can be frustrating in terms of travel and takes faaaar too much time. Another thing to add, one thing myself and my crew did when redoing the tall tales for the achievement, we had all but one crew leave when fighting a Skelly lord. The Lords scale with number of crew, not ship size so it got far easier to deal with in the scenario.

Disney Sticks, very good choice, though I found the Kegs much more fun and quick to execute than using the disney sticks. Nothing brings me greater joy than setting down kegs on his spawn location and setting them all off so suddenly that Greymarrow dies from a heart attack.

Another banger as always! I’m not gonna lie when I spawned Graymarrow I was expecting a huge fight because of my knowledge of him being a fearsome foe on the fort of the damned. But when all it took was 2 regular kegs and a few hits from my trident I was severely disappointed. Anyways, can’t wait to see you in the next!

All the previous fights were over so quickly but I got a bunch of comments saying they took ages to kill. Now my Graymarrow fight took ages and I hear people saying he died really fast for them 😦 what is happening

I think it’s got something to do with crew size. With smaller crews the boss may be easier to defeat and with larger ones it may be a bit harder. For me I was solo so he probably had the least amount of HP. Meanwhile, for you guys he had a lot more seeing as you guys were a crew of 3. That’s just my guess but I think it explains the whole boss fight scenario. Anyways good luck on the shores of good friend!

On an island trying to find the blue skull i could not find it for the life of me. Was on the right track but couldnt find it for a few hours. The storm rolls in and lightning strikes on the sand and i was just"you know what why not" and dug right where it struck. Rare took pity on me and straight up showed me where to dig😅

I had the tall tale bug out as well. When I was trying to line up one of the cannons to go after a key, my game crashed. Granted before that I hadn't realized I needed to go somewhere to get a special lantern because for once I just skimmed through the tall tale's book. Looking forward to seeing how you guys enjoy the shores of gold. Mostly because of one part I know you will hate. Multiple times. But after that the rest of the tall tale should be easy with no chance for Rare to Rare you.

Fate of the Morningstar always has you go to Marauder's Arch and then Old Faithful or Kraken's Fall so I'd recommend starting it from Galleon's Grave rather than Plunder
