Excellent video. Grew up in Clifton (Falcon Crescent) from 1984-2006. Haven't lived there since. Would love to go back to the time these photos were taken. Looks so much more serene and peaceful. edit: my house is in the photo at 3:02 (obviously before I existed)

Norco pickle factory, bloody hell. I had a market stall over the road, when the Norco lot used to come outside for a cig, they smelled of vinegar. Happy days.

I used to go to a pub at the back of Station Road somewhere, quite near the Swinton end in the 70's and used to have regular and great lock-ins!

Pristine council estates were a credit to the occupiers. It's just a shame not all have that same pride any more.

yes of course, the pics were gathered from Internet and in the public domain, so yes that is OK and thanks for the kind comment.

Now they have a closed the lancastrian hall what a waste of a huge space which could be put to good use and all because the council let it fall into disrepair a good sandblasting as well was all it needed tragic

Yeh even though i always found the lancy hall an ugly building, it was our library and a good one too. I wonder if its going to be demolished and sold to some tesco direct...

To me the best bit of the Lanky Hall was the floor on the top floor. It was motorized so you could raise it from flat to sloping to allow tiered seating for shows! Yes it s a crying shame how Swinton Town hall ran up a multi million Pound deficit back then ..... There was talk of a big Doctors opening up there, but allas not even that!

I think it looks like my old house they are playing outside of (124, second from the left). I would have said I'm 99.9% sure it is. I might be wrong but I'm sure it is. The layout is the same anyway.
