We can't rely on those who created climate change to fix it, says climate justice organizer Ozawa Bineshi Albert. An Indigenous woman living in the heart of oil and gas country in the US, she's observed an alarming disconnect between empty promises made by corporations and the actual needs of communities on the ground. In this call for urgency and a shift in values, she advocates for climate policy to center frontline leaders and outlines some grassroots-led projects -- from water protection efforts in Minnesota to off-grid solar power in Arizona -- that have already sparked real change.

Great to see the people fighting back against the large corporations. We need to do this...yesterday! Please just spend a few hundred bucks, and build a solar power system for your home. They are easy to build.

For those who may be tempted to respond to the climate deniers (many of whom are paid to be btw) don’t bother - the climate debate is over. Done. They aren’t even worth arguing with any more. We’ll save them along with everyone else, just because, but just let them be the dead weight they are.

I think her use of the word "frontline" may have made you think of medical workers because of how often that word was used these last 2 years. Here, she's talking about people on the front lines of climate action, not medicine.

@@tayloreverard2039 the over privileged first world port city liberals that sold their own people out for global trade are still too busy supporting global trade, mass immigration into the first world and Medicare for all. Hospitals should be about broken bones, car accidents, stitches, and other minor injuries that do not require a ton of resources and poison the environment. All of three of those things are anti social to the ecosystem that provides us life. I don't know anyone in the first world that supports our war industry that has been bombing the poorest people on earth for the past 20 years. Which is also extremely toxic to the environment.
