Did you know that Kitadake (3193m above sea level) is the second highest mountain in Japan ? Since we have climbed mt. Fuji (no. 1), mt. Okuhodakadake (no. 3), we decided we wanted to complete our ‘top 3’ and climbed mt. Kitadake.

What a stunning view when only the top of Mt Fuji is rising to the sky above the clouds !!! There are many places having their own names in Japan that we don't know how to read or call : )* When you both are standing on the top ? the silhouette is like an anime story .Amazing !!!

Hi Maaike and Takeru! It made me so happy to wake up and see you had posted a new video-I love the ones where you climb mountains. :) The shots of Mt. Fuji were absolutely beautiful. Do you mostly see Japanese people hiking when you're climbing, or is it a mix of people from all over the world? The campsites must be such fun little communities. 山小屋（特に稜線上の山小屋）のトイレの維持は、「あまりに少ない水」と「周辺環境への配慮」と「し尿処理＝ヘリコプター輸送」という三重苦にさらされています。利用するクライマーにとって、トイレに入った瞬間「WTF！」となるケースが多いですよね。まあ、それも登山の楽しみと思えばなんのその。。とはいいつつ、こことか、穂高岳山荘のように素晴らしくきれいに維持されていると感動しますよね。　八本歯コルのハシゴの連続はきついです。それでも、ドローン飛ばせる余力はお見事です。雲上の富士山のコーンシェイプがきれいですね。もしも、またチャンスがあるなら、北岳から塩見岳への縦走がおすすめです。きっと感動すると思います。

I never know if I should send messages to you in English of gewoon in het Nederlands :p But this time it will be in English! Which mountain do you suggest to climb without staying overnight in a tent? As it is too early for me (us) to decide if I (we) like climbing mountains as much as I do now, I’m afraid to make the jump and buy all the gear for me (and BF. ) We have climbed some over the past year and a half (mainly 千葉県の、some in 埼玉県／山梨県). So hope you have some recommendations? Ik volg jullie al een hele tijd (2015) en ik blijf verbaasd over alle mooie plekken die jullie tonen in de video’s!
