Nicely done video and commentary. The identified flowers and wildlife keep me coming back. Thanks!

I like to figure out what I'm looking at. I usually have more footage of the flowers and animals than makes it into the blog and I try to not put the same ones in time after time, but some flowers make multiple appearances. :D

You guys are blessed to be able to hike that part of the country, I also like that you name the flowers and birds in the video, beautiful scenery thanks

We are blessed and we certainly know it! We love the flowers, birds, and the rest of the animals and like to share them. :D

Great hike...you probably don't remember, but my wife and I ran into you and Kristen on the trail this day, we were coming back from Upper Two Medicine Lake. I had just shown her your day hiking map the day before, so it was so wild running into you guys. Like I said, love your videos and all the places you hike! Wish we could do some of the hikes you do. We live in Omaha so we don't get out to Glacier much, but absolutely love it and look forward to returning. It was the first time in the Two Medicine area for us, it was amazing! It was nice meeting you guys....take care.

Great meeting you as well. Thanks for saying hello. Two Medicine is one of our favorites.

Dawson Pass is on my list for next time. First time in Two Medicine on my 4th trip to GNP. would love to do the loop but doing alone might be a bit skechy for me. keep on hiking and filming!!

“There is no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.” ~J. Ruskin (At least that’s true in Glacier. 😉)

Maybe. :D I'm not sure I agree with the "good" or "bad". I would say that being prepared is important whether it's sunny and cloudless or 10 degrees with blowing snow. I would also say that different weather affects enjoyment and safety as well. :D

How many miles round trip and how long did it take to complete the hike?
@hike734 Жыл бұрын
So we hiked almost 17.5 miles, but you could take off 1.5 miles if we would have parked at the North Shore trailhead. Of course you can take off another 5.5 miles or so if you take the boat instead. :D The trip ended up taking us something like 7.5 hours according to our GPS.

@@hike734 thanks for the response, heading there in late August and starting to narrow down some hikes.

@@user-qc7hr4my7r if you have time/stamina, do the whole Pitamakan-Dawson Loop. One of our faves. Do Pitamakan first. Fair warning, the incredible back portion is fairly exposed, so a fear of heights is not your friend!

@@hike734do you happen to have a video on it? Are you basically on a ridge with a drop off on both sides because that might be a problem, lol
@hike734 Жыл бұрын
@@user-qc7hr4my7r I have a couple videos here on my channel. You can also check out my site and do a search there for Pitamakan Dawson. You aren’t walking a knife-edge ridge, but a shelf where it goes up to your left and down to your right. It’s mostly not sheer. If you answer “no I don’t have a fear of heights”, then you’ll be fine. Sketchy things can wig out anyone and I don’t think this qualifies.
