Brother, let me tell you about my first week in October. Oct 1 I took my 8 year old son to his favorite artist on his farewell tour. Alan Jackson in Anaheim. Oct 5 the Mrs. and I saw Dwight Yoakam at the Fresno Fair. The very next day I saw the legend Clint Black in San Bernardino. It was the best week of 90s country in my life.

Clint Black was born in New Jersey and moved to Texas when he was 1 year old, where he was raised and stayed, and where he lives today, and where he got his start. He's not New Jersey. He's Texas.

I grew up listening to Country music in the 60's and 70's. I returned back to country about the time this album came out. Clint Black is probably, still, my favorite singer in the genre to this day. His first 2-3 albums were all fantastic and I do believe that he wrote/co-wrote EVERY song he records.

Clint was one of the biggest stars from the 80's. Just think during this time you had George Strait, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, Randy Travis, All in their prime. It was country musics golden era.

I know this is an old video, but I’d LOVE if you could react to his “Live & Learn”, especially the video where he talks about writing it!

Don’t know when, but at some point, his family moved to my hometown in Texas. We went to high school together. This was his first big hit...it’s80’sCountry.

Must disagree. Back in '91 my friend loved and lived this song until he died in a drunk driving accident so each lyric is personal to me. That being said, one of my favorite songs from Clint is a Merle Haggard song "Untangling My Mind". Well written and great delivery.

Clint Black is one of my favorite singers. You should do Hold on Partner, a duet he did with Roy Rogers. Talk about old time country.

I love the PNC Bank Arts Center picture on your homepage. Buying the Country Megaticket for the past 5yrs I can confidently say that New Jerseyans LOVE their country music. It is 100% alive and well. The Garden State is a little piece of the South in the Northeast. We have our farms, our Farmer's Daughters, our "toes in the water, ass in the sand", our accent, and instead of our Red Dirt Road, we have our Parkway. Reppin Exit 109

@AJ I don't know why I just saw this, but I LOVE this post! I was backstage at Frankie Ballard's show, and I'm impressed that you picked up on the fact that it was PNC, as opposed to say, the BB&T Pavillion. Nicely done. You're kinda right in between the two, though closer to PNC. Beautiful part of the state you live in.

Old school Clint who just got better as the years went on. He’s an underrated guitarist who would have been as big as Garth and Alan had he not insisted on recording only his own material. That being said, he’s a truly gifted writer.

I love clints voice and the rhythm tempo of the song. To me its not a drinking song. Its a dancing backwards in a circle song. (with one's guy of course)

Yes !!!! a good review and reaction - I adore Clint Black - I sang harmonies for this song many times -our band at that time called him the Danceyguy - not because we think he sings for dancing which he does but his voice is Dancey - just love the guy - so he is from your part of the world - you got a good one there Don!! Every song he has ever done -I just love - no words can express the love I have of his music -do you understand what I mean about callin him the Danceyguy - his voice is so awesome and backing although very country is what his voice needs I think - brilliant stuff !! Did you get my message about me needing your e mail no or something cos want to send you a couple of photos - still on for visiting USA next year - my sis has a timeshare in Florida so perhaps will go there first but relying on you to tell me where all the good music places are to visit over there - I have friends in California and Alabama who I would like to visit but will see how it all pans out- look forward to meetin you hopefully - that would be amazing to see you face to face - we hve so much in common havent we - anyway keep the great songs comin and so enjoyed Clint Black as always- did you ever listen to the Eagles Hollywood Waltz -I think you willl like it- there is ofcourse another famous Hollywood Waltz song too but the Eagles one is superb and lyrics great as well - would love to see your review and reaction to that one - cheers pal xxx
