Nice sharing! After knowing these two little sports cars (I had both, including one Golf II GTi 8v in the 1990s), if both are 100% original at least engine level, the Clio 2 RS 172cv must be far ahead. So here, unless you agree with your friend to shoot it, it's like often in our amateur runs on circuits the guys behind the wheel who make the difference. ^^

James, how did you solve the heel and toe position of gas and brake pedals on the mk2?
@Jims_racing3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ben, these are just standard pedals.

@@Jims_racing mine is imposible to heel and toe bro, brake is tooo far down.

@@kikujiro499 how new is your master cylinder? Sounds like something is a miss. The pedals should be perfectly inline

@@Jims_racing Thanks mate. I bought a new 22mm brake pump for 280mm conversion. Step by step. BTW, planning on buy KW V2 coilovers. what spring rate do you use/recommend? Cheers.
@Jims_racing3 жыл бұрын
@@kikujiro499 yep same as me, I use the 22mm master cylinder and 280mm brakes from a G60. Spring rates are standard KW, i think they are around 340lbft front and 300lbft rear. 👍🏼

Any more plans chassis-wise? Brakes? ARB’s?
@Jims_racing3 жыл бұрын
Yes, the next step is some extended ball joints and rose jointed trackrod ends, this should help eliminate bump steer and roll centre correction 👍🏼 ive thought about ARBs, but have heard they dont add much value to a mk2. Im building a new engine for the car which wont be ready for a year or so, so i might need some new brakes then, but for now I want to just enjoy the car as it is 👍🏼

Sounds nice! Are you using all the Milltek mufflers?
@Jims_racing3 жыл бұрын
No its a 4 branch manifold, straight to the mid pipe over the rear axle and also has a back box. I did try it straight to back box but it sounded awful!
